Ilyssa: “Now that that’s settled, I think I’ll go check to see if there’s any water sources nearby. If anyone else is wishing to come along, I won’t stop you unless you slow me in any way.” I stood and walked into the room that had been burst open, going straight towards the bookshelf. Examining the books, I pulled at one that seemed to be made out of hollow wood. The bookshelf creaked and groaned, shifting the slightest bit to reveal a dark crawl space behind it. I rummaged in my pockets, coming up with a tiny flashlight. Placing it between my teeth, I got onto my hands and knees, crawling through to the other side of the crawl space. The room on the other side was lit by iron gas lamps set high up into the wall at intervals. They provided a good amount of light, enough for me to survey the large room. The walls of the room were painted a ghastly shade of greenish brown, with a forest design running across the bottom. Moving closer, I noticed the bright red eyes painted into the dark background. The floor of the room was made out of varnished wood, though most of it was covered by the maroon carpet in the center, on top of which was a large mahogany dining table, matching chairs placed around it. A couple of silver platters lay in front of the chairs on the far half of the table, significantly rusty. A large door was on the other side of the room, locked with a rusty padlock. Crawling back to the group, I walked over to Isaac. “Do you still have that lockpicking kit? There’s a door in the next room, but it’s been locked using an old padlock.” (Tell me if I need to change anything in the pov)
