Tell me what you think about my character. I’ll probably update this with a picture later on.
Name: Aiden Cross Appearance: Aiden is a short boy with mane of fluffy hair that borderlines on ginger. Instead of trying to tame the beast on his head, Aiden embraces it and lets it run wild above his shoulders. Besides, he doesn’t care much for appearances in the first place. Aiden’s idea of a fancy outfit is a polo and jeans but usually you’d find him wearing sweatpants and hoodies that add to his skinny frame. His wardrobe consists of oranges (his favourite colour), greys, blacks and whites. Constellations of brown freckles decorate his pale arms, legs and face and his eyes are like a fireplace; warm and inviting. Age: 15 Gender: Male Hobbies: Arts and crafts, listening to and making music, sport, sleeping Pet Peeve: Staying still and silent for extended periods of time, people who ignore him, Base Power: Speed manipulation. Aiden is able to increase and decrease the momentum of small objects using his mind. For example, if someone were to throw a rock at him, by concentrating on the rock, Aiden would be able to decrease the rocks momentum, causing the rock to drop from lack of speed. He could then throw the rock back and use his ability to increase the rock’s momentum to cause more damage. Aeons ago, an ancient Japanese alchemist wished to alter the world around him to his will. He underwent many attempts to give himself this power, many of which included the help of spirits and unethical use of animals and people. Despite his tries, none of them proved successful. However, the alchemist had amazing tenacity and kept trying. Only death could stop him from achieving his goal. When on his death bed, the alchemist gave his beloved daughter the latest brew of the power. While grieving over her father’s death, she drank the mixture as it was her father’s last wish and gained great power. She could manipulate anything in whatever way she wanted. The daughter used this power for good and help the citizens of her village live better lives by helping them in harvests and hunting and defending them from spirits. Her descendants held her ability as a recessive gene but none of them could use it. The power stayed dormant for generations, but Aiden managed to score it from his mother’s side. However his power, even at its utmost limit is nothing compared to what what his ancestor had. History: Aiden was born to a Japanese mother and a British dad. His early childhood was spent in Japan, living in a tiny apartment. The family didn’t have much in terms of money, but they were happy. From a young age, Aiden learned how to appreciate the little things in life. His parents ran a small family arts and crafts business. Some of the pieces they sold were donated from family and friends but most of the time they made their own art. Some of Aiden’s most fond memories of this time was working together with his mother on art projects usually based on spirits, while his mother taught him about them. Aiden’s father eventually remarried and had a daughter. Aiden got along surprisingly well with his step family but he couldn’t think of them as ‘mother’ and ‘sister’. To him they were just family friends. When Aiden was around five, the business wasn’t doing well and Aiden’s father got a well paying job offer in England. He insisted they abandon the business and move to England but his mother was far too passionate about it too leave it alone. They eventually split up and went their separate ways. Aiden’s father took him to England to live and his mother stayed in Japan. Every first month of Summer break, Aiden spent with his mother, the rest of the year he spent with his father. In England, Aiden attended school. During his primary school years, he well liked by his peers. He had a good group of friends but most of his teachers didn’t like him thanks to his inability to stay quiet. Although he got bad grades, he more than made up for it in sports. Ball sports that involve hand eye coordination, like tennis were his favourite sports to play. Though when it came to swimming, Aiden was only slightly better than a rock when it came to swimming. Supernatural History: Everytime Aiden visited his mother’s house, he always saw strange things. But one experience left him with nightmares for years. While his mother was out buying groceries, Aiden was put in charge of the house. While cleaning the apartment, someone knocked on the door. His mother was expecting mail at the time so he opened it without checking who it is first. In the doorway stood a shadowy figure. The figure was tall, around 9 feet, and skinny like it was malnourished. It took a vaguely human form and the air around it seemed to turn to darkness. The creature’s face lacked any features but a mouth. A huge gaping mouth. Rows and rows of teeth lined the innards of its mouth. Aiden was frozen, completely petrified. The figure smirked at his state and then vanished into the air. Needless to say, Aiden didn’t sleep that night.
