This always feels like the first day of class where you have to stand up and say things about yourself in front of your peers, which is honestly the worst. Hey I'm me, usually, I go by 'Memes (it's a nickname and originally had nothing to do with actual MemesTM) or honestly whatever works in conversation. Real names are boring and in my line of work being a published author and editor, they ruin a lot of the mystery and fun. I come from a largely fanfiction-related background, starting my horribly embarrassing career over a decade ago [s]fuck I'm old[/s] back when ff.n was in full swing. From there I've helped good friends turn those stories into actual books being sold on Amazon and making Real Honest Money instead of just being viewed by weird preteens, and even publishing a few of my more popular works myself. My goals for getting back into a space such as this is simple: my husband gets to have all the fun being a DM and playing his games and damnit I want in. We're long distance because of school and work, and while I'm proud of him off doing his own thing, I miss having a group of people sitting around and playing in a shared world-space. I'm familiar with both the traditional 5e playstyle (and have a vast amount of unused characters in my arsenal) and the Monster of the Week game which is honestly super fun and I'm surprised many people haven't heard of it before. I'll list all of my current and familiar fandoms/games below, just in case someone sees something and has been looking for someone like me: + Monster of the Week + D&D 5e + Critical Role + The Adventure Zone (all arcs) + Assassins Creed + Elder Scrolls + Detroit: Become Human + Dragon Age + the Long Dark + the Dark Tower/any Steven King (seriously between my mother and I we have everything he and his children have published/edited) There's probably more, so feel free to ask me if you're curious. For now, I'll be lurking around as I finish out this term and finish a few projects I'm working on. Best, 'Memes
