"...But...its not just Kyle's dream to see that fly." he said, turning to look at her. "You helped him a ton with making it, right? I-Its only right that you're there to see its maiden voyage." Clearly not wanting to just...abandon Talia here, and get to see her work with Kyle while she couldn't, Magnus had an idea, eyes going wide. "...Talia, do you think...we could have Kyle fly here? That way you could see it! And-And then everybody can see that you two are geniuses!" he said, smiling a bit. "...That'd work...right?" he said, sounding desperate to just get...something working for Talia. It wasn't fair...she was a hero, saving Bart like she did, so why did she have to suffer by missing out on seeing Kyle fly? Taking a deep breath, Magnus looked down at Talia, looking liable to cry. "E-Even if he can't make it to here in it, I'll make sure he promises to take you for a ride in it if he can. When you're better, you'll get to fly higher than any cyclops ever has before. So...just, rest. Alright?" Magnus said, gently putting his large hand atop Talia's head, and gently patting her hair. "...I won't blink while he flies. I'll tell you all about it if he can't fly here, but...just watch out the window. You just might see Kyle. O-Okay?" he said, doing his best to smile at her, to let her know that he'd do exactly as she asked, and that this would all work out. Somehow, it would. Waiting for Neil at the front of the guild, Magnus wondered if anyone would want to come see the flying machine with them, and cleared his throat. "E-Excuse me, but um...a-anyone want to come with me and Neil to see a Flying Machine?" he said, sounding more than a little shy around all the new people. ...It was awkward now, since he'd completely missed his chance to introduce himself, not having foreseen Talia becoming ill. A lot of it went over her head, like what a "Pizza" was, what "Mexican" implied, and what "Being in for some Counter Strike" meant, but she imagined those must all be foods from Neil's home. Counter Strike...sounded bitter, maybe even a little salty in terms of flavor. She was glad he explained what a bus was, at least. That word meant little, without the context of it being a vehicle. The pain of remembering his old life was obvious to her, and she felt...somewhat similar. At least, in terms of suddenly being placed somewhere alone, and left to fend for herself. Her mother had just...vanished one day, after all, leaving her a small village's un-thanked guardian dragon. At his statement of wanting a helper, she couldn't help but nod. "You may count on me. I may not be a mage by trade, but reading books is a specialty of mine. I'll research at the guild's library while I recover today. And...erm...I'd rather not "blab" about this to everyone just yet. They may think I'm delirious from last night if you aren't there to also explain it. Good luck with the flying machine, Neil," she said, shuffling to the door. "My apologies, I'm going to need to borrow this tunic a while longer. My dress needs cleaning and drying." she added, before leaving to go do...a single piece of laundry, as well as research anything on magic that can pull items or people from other dimensions. On the way out, she heard Magnus speak of some "Flying Machine." While this did pique her interests, her promise to Neil was more important at the moment, leading the dragoness to silently pass on the open invite, walking off to the library in her ridiculous outfit. Or rather, just a tunic, and a perpetual fog below her lower body. Though she was covered, being seen without something over her knees on made her uneasy.
