[color=Silver][indent]As with all Bards Zachary comes with a caring soul that loves demonstrating the beauty of music to people. No matter where Zachary goes it’s with a smile on his face as he plays his instrument as an extension of himself. He is a youthful and passionate boy who has dedicated his life to bringing the beauty of music to life. Zachary approaches any situation he can with an open, merciful heart just as his grandfather taught him. Even with his gleaming positivity he still feels a weight in his heart. The guilt of leaving his dear mother and father at a young age has taken its toll on Zachary. 

The young bard wishes his parents only the best, but he has a mission in life he must pursue. The Nyrid family name must regain its prestigious status as musicians once again; a legacy left to him by his grandfather years ago. If his father would dismiss the family heritage then it was Zachary who would gladly step up to the mantle. The emotions Zachary harbors for his deserted family do not weigh him down completely, though. Instead it ties him back home so that one day he will return once his quest is complete. Zachary is a young man driven by his passion for music and he intends on making a name for the Nyrid family once again.[/indent][/color]

[color=Silver][indent]Born into a poor household in the city of Jakrin in northern Ibion, Zachary and his family lived peacefully. Zachary lived with his mother, father, and grandfather in the slums of the northern city. His parents spent their days out fishing whilst he stayed home with his grandfather. There was not much to do besides household chores and going to the market. With little else to do during the day, Zachary’s grandfather would bring out an instrument and sing songs of old about the Nyrid family. Ages ago their ancestors once played music for any royalty willing to request their talents. Their musical talent was unrivaled for generations, and the way they produced such music seemed to be magic for the patrons.

The stories were spoken almost lyrically as his grandfather played every day. It wasn’t until he was older that Zachary’s grandfather revealed a hidden truth of their family. Zachary’s ancestors did not just play music for royal events. Instead they took to the battlefield with the soldiers of war. It was there that they inspired the troops in the heat of the battle to keep on the fight. For years his grandfather would keep him enthralled every day about the ways of his heritage. 

However, Zachary’s father did not take too kindly to grandfather “speaking absolute nonsense”. Zachary’s father always complained that chasing lucrative fantasies of being a musician were nonsense. The stories were simply stories, nothing more. Zachary would become a fisherman just as his father and mother. Thus on one fateful day a storm blew in and Zachary’s parents came home early during a story. His father lost his temper for the final time. Through the heat of the argument was when Zachary’s grandfather was cast from the household forever. The only things left behind were his grandfather’s hat and instrument.

Many weeks past from then and Zachary protested his father’s overreaction every day. Zachary had enough of his father’s harshness and doubts. The Nyrid family name meant something to the world once and has faded from history. Someone [i] must [/i] reclaim their glory. One evening Zachary attempted to sneak away quietly with his grandfather’s possessions. However, he was caught in the act. With little time to react as his father tried to grab him, Zachary struck his father and fled his home of many years.

Zachary wandered further north from then on, earning spare currency from passersby he played for. He was now on a personal quest to find his grandfather and thank him. The stories Zachary heard mostly took place in the great kingdom of Estala and it was there he traveled to. Along the way he acquired a red breasted grosbeak as a traveling companion and they have been traveling northward into Estala. They were in search of a master gone by…[/indent][/color]

[color=Silver][indent] Zachary is quite protective of both his hat and instrument. Both are gifts to him left by his grandfather to carry out his quest. If someone were to attempt and take these items from him he would protest greatly. Another thing is that even though it seems like Zachary can be quite flirtatious, he’s actually just extremely kind. To him every woman holds a unique beauty but he’s not in search of love quite yet; at least, not until his quest is complete. Lastly he speaks in broken tongue sometimes. The Ibion local tongue sometimes mixes with the international language. It’s quite common for him since he tends to say whatever is on his mind. [/indent][/color]

[indent][color=Gold][b]Father: Yakuso Nyrid[/b][/color] - [color=Silver]A self-taught fisherman by trade. He did not buy into Angelo's stories and musical lessons like Zachary did. Yakuso believes that those story are mere children's tales and that the only true meaning in life is the profit earned from hard work and labor.[/color][/indent]

As much as she tried to participate in raising Zachary, she reluctantly passed that responsibility onto Angelo whom was more available to watch her child. Isabella wishes that her work wasn't as demanding as it was.[/color][/indent]
