She didn't need to lean on him in order to survive. Thana was still trucking and so would she. It'd be a bit more than a few bullets to keep her from walking. And the last person she had let herself lean on slightly, the last one she cared for and left to go support - well, he ended up dead. She recognized the issue with the lack of easy exits and she couldn't help but feel in her gut that they were still walking into a trap. That had been horrible danger - but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She turned the corner, walking with Alex and she spotted Thana and Thalia up ahead. What she didn't see, however, were more members of Eden. Maybe Thana and Thalia had cleared them all out. Maybe the Edenites were all gone. But she didn't feel like either of those were likely options. Instead, she half expected them to stumble into a stronghold of Eden's, with thirty Edenites prepared to kill them all with a variety of projectile weapons. Or knowing how insane and sadistic these people seemed to be, swords or just restraints, for future extended torture sessions. "Quickest exit point might be death," she muttered under her breath, trying to push through the pain. He had the medpack and the bug out bag he'd grabbed stashed on the seat next to him. Seeing Tiffany in front with Ash for a moment, he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. He was supposed to be Newnan's second, its security lead - but then he had to remind himself that Newnan didn't exist anymore. They were just a group of people now. Any titles they had gone by went up with Newnan in flames and collapsed with the buildings. He glanced out the window, spotting the beginnings of the massive hoarde and his heart sank. It might have been rational or irrational, he wasn't certain at the moment, but he couldn't help but imagine Tatiana out there, all alone, about to be run over by that hoard. He bit his lip, certain that he was never going to let her out of his sight again, once he found her again. And when their kid was born, he wasn't going to let that baby out of his sight either. He was going to helicopter to the point that it was ridiculous and annoying. Of course, there was a slight silver lining. If they hadn't found Ash and the others, Jack doubted the janky car they had found would be able to make it through this storm of the undead.
