Anyone with a pair of eyes or magical sense could understand that the metal was beginning to freeze solid. The slimes had compounded themselves on the other side, pressing against the door in an attempt to freeze it to the point the metal would start to become weak and when it would hit that moment they would force it open. A loud, booming incomprehensible growl echoed from the other side of the door. And for a moment there was some silence until something slammed against the base of the metal door. This did not stop with one strike, the partially frozen door had cracked at the very top from the force that was beginning to wear on it. When the crack appeared, the denizens probably expected slime too ooze out of it. But instead four mangled claws had in its place. The edges around the door began to crack as those claws began pulling with all of their strength on the door. Even with all of the spells cast on the door, it wouldn't help. Perhaps it was the quickness of the action. Perhaps it was the power of the creature behind the door. Perhaps it was just dumb luck. All the members of the raiding group knew was whatever it was didn't want them to escape. They only had a few moments before the door would be pulled from its “hinges” and thrown into the crypt-like room. What they would see was something they didn't expect. Two red eyes shined through the mess of blue goo that had solidifed. A guttural growl grumbled from its lips. “Fooooooooood.” They didn't know its name or the dungeon's story. But to the denizens of the world? This was Arnaakus – the frost demon that lived to feed upon the mortals who dared enter its lair. The slimes were just part of its lair. Part of him. And if the party didn't act quickly they would be too.
