Powers: Virgil is able to control electromagnetism. Essentially meaning he can generate raw electric energy in order to fire electricity out at enemies. Along with this, he can also use his power to levitate metallic objects and even create an electromagnetic force field around himself. He can also channel his power into giving him a sort of faux-super strength capable of sending enemies flying. His power has other uses, of course, but these are dependent on Virgil's ingenuity. Furthermore, his equipment, made for him by the hero Hardware also plays a part in his powers. His protective glasses actually have a few functions to help him as a hero. Firstly, it provides a holographic interface which allows Virgil to access the internet along with communicating with others through an in-built communication system. Along with this, the glasses contain a sort of stealth mode, capable of generating electrical interference which can scramble surveillance camera's. Along with this, his 'Static Saucer' is extremely useful in the field. The saucer consists of six interlocking hexagons which can be put together and taken apart with ease through the use of Virgil's powers. He uses the saucer to fly on along with as a shield. Weaknesses: Virgil's power is dependent on his internal 'battery'. While his electric energy recharges over time, it doesn't do so at an extremely fast level. He often times has to drain energy from nearby electrical outlets such as power-lines or cars. Furthermore, his powers do not work on insulators such as rubber. Skills: -Trained in Muay Thai as well as Taekwondo -His knowledge of biology and chemistry is still growing, but he knows enough to have a basic understanding of medical procedure. -Fanboy levels of knowledge about certain parts of pop culture. He was a straight A student with a keen interest in sciences and a mouth a bit too loud not to get him into trouble. He went through the normal motions of a highschool kid until an event called the Big Bang was scheduled to happen in his hometown of Dakota City. The Big Bang was when the major gangs of Dakota City were to meet to either discuss peace, or see who was the last standing, the latter was what actually happened. Virgil, being one to want to do the right thing, attended the event in the hopes of convincing a friend of his to leave the event. By the time he arrived a riot had already broken out, and the police were quick on scene with what they thought was tear gas. It was actually Q-Juice, an invention of the mad scientist Nathan Flack, who planned to use it to give himself superpowers, but not without testing it first. The few who didn't die from the side effects of the Q-Juice emerged with powers. Virgil being one of the few. His powers developed a few weeks after the event, and he only really learned to control them after a few months of constantly trying not to zap his xbox every time he picked the controller up. After being inspired by the superhero Icon and realizing his newfound powers could be used for good, Virgil began patrolling Dakota City in a makeshift costume, targeting small-time criminals for a good while before his first real supervillain came after him. The villain went by the name Holocaust and was also given his powers by the Q-Juice. He ran a small drug operation in Dakota City that began rising in the ranks after Holocaust began killing off the competition with the help of his fire powers. The two clashed for months on end, with Holocaust narrowly escaping a number of times until they finally had a showdown at Holocaust's base of operations. The fight was long and violent, and almost ended in the death of Virgil after he was knocked unconscious. He woke up to the more experienced hero Hardware having saved him and put Holocaust away for good. Hardware admired Virgil's confidence in his work and, since Virgil was about to leave highschool, offered him an internship at STAR labs in Metropolis, with the offer of a scholarship at a university and an upgraded supersuit. With an offer like that, Virgil couldn't exactly turn the man down. For years he operated mostly alone, sometimes with Hardware when he decided something was big enough for him to get involved. That is, until Doomsday attacked. Virgil was a bit late to the scene, but did his best to assist in the fight against Doomsday and in the saving of civilians. To his surprise, after the long battle he was offered a place in the Justice League. He's been operating as a full-time hero ever since. Supporting Characters: Curtis Metcalf(Hardware) - Mentor and creator of his supersuit. Also a father figure to a degree.
