Alright, here's my character concept. Hopefully she's up to snuff.
I. Physical Profile. - Name - + Mori Allens - Titles - + Head of Bionics + Board Member of Eschaton Industries + Professor Allens + Lady Leg-O-Less - A derogatory term used by those opposed to her. + Mori 'Aliens' - A persistent typo that keeps showing up in records. - Physical Age - + 38 - True Age - + 38 - Gender - + Female - Race - + Human of mixed heritage. - Subspecies - + N/A - Description - A taller woman around 5’7”, Mori is a somewhat imposing figure, her presence something to behold and drawing attention. A face that’s mature, yet with a striking determination and rebellion in her amber eyes. Still youthful, Mori is of fair complexion and at least somewhat pretty; if lacking some polish. Still, her hair is kept neat and out of her eyes, styled very slightly just beyond shoulder length; though perhaps most eye-catching is the striking violet colour. Trim and fit, Mori has remarkable upper body strength given her slender frame, born from her current circumstances. Primarily clad for business, Mori wears formal uniforms and dress, accentuated with a traditional lab coat to denote her profession. Typically, she tends to stick to neutral colours – Blacks, whites and browns, before splashing in a single other colour to add a bit of pizazz to the whole thing. For personal reasons, Mori virtually always wears pants, or when she does choose to use a skirt or dress, there will always be accompanying stockings or pantyhose. Despite looking bookish and professional, there will occasionally be the hints of her more dishevelled nature hidden in her outfit. An untucked tie or excessive crease symbolising a restless night of study followed by collapse at her desk. Still, she does her best to present herself formally given her position, publically a strong face for her division in cybernetics and neurotech. In reality, Mori previously lost both her legs prior to joining Eschaton Industries, and still wears the prototype system she co-developed to attach bionic limbs. Aside from the main unit, these bionics are detachable, and interchangeable with a few different models depending on circumstance. Primarily, she wears a pair of ‘ordinary’ legs that match her figure, a black-grey unit with some semblance to the limbs they aim to imitate - though none would be able to tell in public. In private and due to necessity, Mori is required to remove the units, and as such, it would not be uncommon for her to be seen in her quarters without her prosthetics, or seated within a wheelchair. - Any differences from your provided image/s - + Mori has lost both her physical legs, though this may be hidden with bionics and clothing. II. Mental Profile. - Personality - + Mori Allens is constantly active, always working or focused on some task or project. She can be abrasive and blunt, but for the most part, she's a fast talking, fresh and forward thinker. Not afraid to speak her mind, she has strong opinions and plans around everything; refusing to sit back or sit out of things. A dedicated scientist, Mori constantly challenges the unknown and limits of mankind's progress. Time is a valuable commodity, and she wants to do everything she can with hers before it runs out. Though a bit arrogant and condescending, she has a good heart, strong values, and the drive to keep moving forward. Bold and with a personal strength that others admire, Mori won't stop until she's earned a freedom for mankind once more. Contrary to her intellectual status, Mori isn’t the kind to just stand back and study all the time. Her drive constantly pushes her forward to the battlefield, testing her inventions and upgrades first hand on the monsters that threaten mankind’s existence. In combat, she’s a brilliant tactician and formidable fighter, though her strategies border on reckless, almost suicidal. Pushing the limits of what can be done, always on the offensive and striking first, fast and furious. In such cases, she tends to be mouthy and taunt her opponents as she devastates their forces; silence the main cue that she has to take things seriously. In all areas of her life, Mori can be quite prideful and stubborn, reluctant to show any weakness, and having difficulty asking and accepting help from others, with a few sole exceptions. - Likes - + Talking and Debate + Winning and Success + Science and Progress + Easy Food and Coffee + Writing and Reading + Action and Fast Beats in Music - Dislikes - + Failing and Losing + Inactivity and Fence Sitters + Idiots and Ignorants + Mustard and Pickles + Her own Disability + Formality and Authority + Needing Assistance - Fears - + Being Incapable or Unable to do something + Losing Control of Her Faculties + Mankind’s Extinction - Hobbies - + Studying, Researching and Science + Bionics, and Neuroscience + Reading and Writing + Politics and Strategy Games + Mechs and Giant Robots + Martial Arts, Primarily Taekwondo + Listening to Upbeat Music + Social Deduction Games - Secrets? - + Though not well kept, Mori’s Bionic legs and attachments are not public knowledge, though any who have seen her in combat or of any upper status would be aware. + Mori’s Bionic’s are not compatible with some or the newer Eschaton Industry models, and it’s said that they have some negative side-effects. - Outlook on life - "I have so much work to do. I have the ability to change the way things are, and I won't let that go to waste. I won’t stop moving." Musical Outlook - Affiliation - + Mori works for Eschaton Industries as head of the bionics division and a board member for the science division. - Moral Alignment - + Chaotic Good III. Statistics. - Willpower - + A - Faith - + D - Mana Capacity - + N/A - Magickal Proficiency - + N/A - Physical Competence - + Ranges from E to A when connected to her Bionics. IV. Innate Abilities - Active Abilities - N/A - Passive Abilities - Genius Intellect | Not to brag, but Mori is incredibly smart. - Boundary - N/A V. Acquired Magick N/A VI. Acquired Skills - Acquired Skills - Martial Arts Proficiency B | Mori has done some physical training to better use her bionic enhancements, particularly kick-based combat. This learning process was aided through Neurotech. Bionic Control A | Mori has extensive experience controlling her Bionic legs, a seamless integration that feels as natural as the real thing, perhaps even a bit beyond it. Marksmanship A | Standard Firearm training was adopted well by Mori, but the addition of Neurotech gives her a mechanical precision. Swordplay B | In order to properly wield some of the Energy Tech provided to her, Mori has practiced a decent blade craft focused on her unique strengths. Neuro Links A | A pioneer of the currently unstable Neurotech, Mori is capable of controlling integrated tech with her mind, both autonomously or with focused attention. Neurotech has also had some success in programming muscle memory, but this has been limited to Mori due to side effects. Construction S | Mori’s speed and precision in constructing technology is nearly unrivalled, particularly in her field of expertise. Bio-Science S | Mori has extensive knowledge around Biology, Bionics, Neuroscience and several other fields, primarily in both mechanical and biological fields. VII. Familiars N/A VIII. Equipment. - Weaponry - Energy Cutters | A form of heated photonic energy condensed into a blade form, capable of cutting through most materials, produced through a relatively small control unit within the hilt. These take the form of smaller detachable units (On her legs), or, by combining them, a singular sword a bit under a metre in length. Energy Blasters | A form of light based energy projectile, these pistols can do marked damage depending on charging time, or less impactful bursts. By combining with the other energy units, larger energy rifles can be formed. Energy Barrier | By dispersing photon energy in a spherical pattern, a semi-permeable barrier can stop most solid objects or energy based projectiles; though the amount varies based on the force endured, size of the barrier, energy charge, etc. Can also be used as an energy pack to form the larger energy rifle, or draw further energy from the other weapons. Personal Armour Suit | The PAS is an advanced and flexible armoured suit, streamlined and slim in design, but more than capable of protecting the wearer from air friction and standard forces. Due to the nature of Mori’s Bionics, the suit is modified to accommodate her figure and allow her to further utilise her bionics without risk to her non-bionic areas. - Vehicles and Constructs - Bionic Legs | The standard set of Bionics that Mori wears, capable of sensing pressure, temperature, etc. Though humanoid in design, these artificial enhancements allow Mori to perform inhumanely fast and powerful feats. Additionally, there are some small modifications to allow the attachment of various equipment. Flight Set | A variation of Mori’s standard Bionic Legs, this pair of attachments are designed with aerodynamic movement in mind, featuring an energy propulsion system to allow flight and omni-directional air movement. Due to the design, these attachments are unable to be concealed when worn due to the wings and stabilisers. Wheel Set | Although only slightly modifying the base bionic legs, this attachment features retractable wheels for even greater ground mobility, though was mainly developed as a prototype to test neuro links with non-humanoid attachments. Heavy Arms | A pair of full combat legs, this ‘heavy’ model comes equipped with extensive projectile and explosive armaments, at the cost of mobility. Combat Drones | A large collection of small drones equipped with energy blasters, Mori is capable of controlling these manually via neuro link, or setting them to pre-programmed shooting routines. These can also be controlled remotely from an authorised terminal. Remote Units | The repair and transport drones, these smaller devices can fly and perform limited repairs automatically, or be manually controlled via terminal or neuro link. These drones are also responsible for delivering ‘armament’ changes to Mori in the field. Omega Unit | Mori’s fantasy project. It’s far from complete, but suffices to say, it’s big, and pushes the limits of everything Mori has learned. - Miscellaneous - Communicator Systems and HUD |Through her Neuro link, Mori is able to wirelessly connect to applicable systems and networks, primarily a communicator to any of her support teams or radios in the field. The neuro link also provides her with a limited HUD that monitors the energy levels and other systems in her bionics, as well as her vitals. IX. Biography. - Past - The product of the second attempt at a family that led to a marriage that ended before it began, Mori grew up flitting between the homes of her parents with her much elder sister. Though primarily raised by her mother and sibling, there were also the odd fun weeks with her father. Then weekends. Then, monthly visits. Then nothing. It hurt, but he found a new family, one that was wholly his own. Mori was happy for him, even if she didn’t entirely understand back then. She still had her mother, her sister and fond memories. They weren’t rich, but they were well off enough. Everything would be okay. Except it wasn’t really. Mori’s mother was neurotic and scattered, flitting through life unfocussed and barely managing to hold things together. Forgotten waiting at the school gates for an hour until her sister came to walk her back. Nights without meals, wondering where she was. If it wasn’t for Alisha, maybe she would’ve fallen apart as well. Thankfully, her sister was smart. Responsible. Organised. Compassionate. She helped fill the void her parents left, and constantly helped teach and advise the young Mori. Learn to look after yourself. Be independent and strong. Don’t blame mother, she was doing her best. You’re going to be something special someday, Mori. Don’t ever stop moving forward. As Mori got older, she began to scrape together her own living, even after her sister moved out to live on her own. Even if it was sloppy, she made dinner herself. She stopped waiting after her mother. She’d be strong. She wouldn’t stop. And to do that, she had to educate herself. Pouring herself into books, research and knowledge, Mori studied. She’d excel. With a drive others lacked, she climbed the rungs at her school, and soon enough, had a fantastic scholarship under her belt. Her mother was proud, but no one was prouder then Alisha. Mori was a prodigy and an eccentric, throwing herself with reckless abandon into her research. She’d create a legacy of inventions that changed history. At least, that was the plan. She wouldn’t do it alone either. Her time at college were some of the best in her life, and though she was a bit odd with how she was constantly at work on her thesis; she did make friends. Like minded individuals. People that tolerated her, at the very least. Janice Harrison, the black haired party girl that despite going to binge drinks and parties, somehow managed to keep up with her medical degree. Then there was Rurik Willingham. A bit of an asshole, but one of the only people who could match her intellectual brilliance in conversation. The three maintained contact even as their fields began to separate. A fact that Mori would be very thankful for in the coming years. Still, having studied so long, never stopping, something finally came to slow her down. Mori’s mother died. Returning home, Mori attended her mother’s funeral and grieved. She met her father, now older and grey, but still with a loving wife and new children. But perhaps more importantly, Mori reunited with Alisha. Alisha was older now too, but perhaps more exciting than that, she was married. She had children of her own. Mori had always neglected to contact her, but she was stunned by how much had changed. The saddest day in her life thus far was also one of the happiest. Alisha’s partner, Aaron, was part of a Tech company, but he believed he could help Mori find a position there, and maybe work a bit closer to home. Things couldn’t be going much better. It was a new start. Things were moving again. It’d been a few months working with Aaron when it happened. The end of mankind, the arrival of 'God' and the monsters that tore Mori’s life apart. So much happened in that one moment in time, but Mori was only conscious for half of it. Driving back home for Alisha and the kids. Aaron slaughtered by beasts before her eyes. Pushing Alisha with the kids towards safety. The monsters tearing at her flesh. Flashes of light. People grabbing her. Janice’s reassuring voice. Darkness. When she came to, Mori was being flown to Australia, to some place they called Sanctuary. Apparently, Janice worked with the founders, Eschaton Industries. Aaron didn’t make it. Alisha had been killed trying to save Mori. Sebastian and Leah, Alisha’s children however, survived. Just like Mori had, but not without sacrifice. Janice had done what she could, but… Mori’s legs were gone. - Present - Two decades later, things had changed a lot for Mori, although some of it was the same. Working with Janice and Rurik, Mori developed and became a leading expert in the field of Bionics and Neurotech, even finding herself a position on Eschaton Industries Board. In addition, Mori was the first to implement her new tech into herself, installing both the neurolink and an interchangeable set of bionic legs. Of course, such advances improved over the years, but Mori kept some tricks and secrets to herself. Still, science and research isn’t all that Mori found herself involved in. With her new equipment, Mori was going to continue moving forward. The monsters didn’t know what hit them as she joined the frontline, constantly pushing herself and her inventions to new heights with a reckless abandon and a sense of vengeance. But is that the only reason she fights? Time is of the essence. The side-effects of the drugs and technology Mori installed, though some positive, are mostly negative. Perhaps that’s why the neuro-link isn’t available to more individuals, and newer, but less receptive Bionics were developed. Still, Mori continues to innovate and improve on her work, and none can deny that she’s been crucial to offensive strikes against the hell that the false god unleashed. Then there is family life. Mori’s work life balance is somewhat out of hand, especially given that Aunt Allens is now the guardian and caretaker of Alisha’s children. Sebastian is an adult now and… Difficult. At least he helped with Leah. Mori never had that much respect for her mother, but with her life in the state it is now, she’s found a newfound admiration and regret for how she acted in her youth. Still, she is working in their best interest. Even if she’s neglecting them now, she’s fighting for the future. To give them a future. At least, that’s what Mori tells herself. She hopes that one day they’ll understand that. X. Miscellaneous. - NPC Connections - Janice Harrison | Head of the Medicine and Pharmacological research, Janice is an old colleague and friend of Mori’s, and the other mind behind the bionic system and neuro link program. She is also the one responsible for performing Mori’s initial surgery. Is constantly dating, but never seems to have a partner stick. Rurik Willingham | Head of Genetics and Bio-Engineering, Rurik is an old colleague and rival of Mori’s. Although the two have worked together on numerous projects, they often butt heads. Mori finds him to be a bit of a jerk, though that’s perhaps because he’s as arrogant as she is. Sebastian Allens | The elder of Mori’s adopted children, Sebastian is something of a trouble child, and clearly holds some resent towards Mori. Still, he’s reliable when it comes to his younger sister. Although an adult, he’s yet to establish himself and become independent. Leah Allens | The younger of Mori’s adopted children, Leah only recently turned twenty, and unlike Sebastian, is taking some steps to become independent, and is studying medicine to try and become a doctor like her favourite guest, Janice.
