Denise has light-brown hair with the occasional highlight. She has blue eyes, and she has a condition known as central heterochromia that leads her to have a gold ring around both of her pupils. Denise isn't very tall, taking after her mother for such trait, one which she will occasionally complain about. A headstrong girl for the most part. Denise had to learn to fend for herself a younger age than most, being born into a chaotic family which includes a drug-abusing mother and an absent father who will occasionally stop by to drop some money off. Raised without rules and an obvious absence of love, Denise had to teach herself key principles of life, her learning experiences derived from either school or the streets. Given the small town she lives in, Denise prefers to keep to herself. Too much gossip going around from the rich pricks, and despite her tough exterior, their words actually hurt her. Denise is also not at all a bad person. She's gotten herself caught in trouble with the police a couple of times before, but she's not mean-spirited.[/center]

From the start, Denise's life was anything but easy. Once her father left their home for good, her mother turned to drugs to grieve with her loss. It was obviously a selfish move as Denise had no adult figure to guide her through life from that point on. Child services was called to investigate a few times, the school staff concerned when Denise would show up without any of her homework, sometimes in the same dirty clothes from one of the previous days, but her mother was as smart as she could be given her current situation, and she never brought drugs into their home. Denise never admitted to any abuse either, although once or twice before, one of her mother's boyfriends engaged in light flirting with her during her prepubescent years.

When she made it to high school not too long ago, Denise's life had become as routine as ever. She would go to school, work for a couple of hours at the local shelter walking animals and such, and then go home. She cooked for herself, did her best to clean the house, and by nightfall, she was ready to go to sleep.
