Sounds like an interesting roleplay. Mind if I throw in a character to see if you like him?
Name: Sev'rai'nuruodo (Core name: Evrain)(Code Sign: Cipher Seven) Age: 23 Class: Imperial Agent- Operative Home Planet: Csilla _________________ Appearance: Raven-black short hair combed back combined with a oval face with sharp cheekbones, scarlet red eyes, and a scar across his cheek. His body is muscular and lean without being overly muscular. He's around 5' 4" in height with dark blue skin. When not in clothing for a disguise, he wears the usual black Imperial uniform with a blaster resistant cuirass hidden beneath the outer layers. Personality: To most people, Evrain is a typical Chiss; arrogant, coldly professional and civil, practical minded and capable of being absolutely ruthless. To others, he'll appear laid-back, cocky, and quite a flirt to the ladies when the bosses aren't around. Both views are carefully constructed by him, given to people depending on what he observes would work better to stay out of serious trouble and learn information. Both show him to be on guard, constantly observing, analysing, and keeping himself from being too vulnerable. His real self has a mixture of the two shields. He is rather lax by Chiss standards, but always professional enough for him to not become a borderline pariah. He has confidence in his abilities without being overly confident. He's loyal to his people and his family, though he'd be loyal to friends if he had any. He's highly pragmatic and highly compassionate, coming up with pragmatic reasons for helping people when able. The biggest secret he hides about himself is how he's absolutely sick of the Empire. He's sick of the Sith constantly willing to exert their power over those they consider beneath them (aka everyone else) and the government constantly willing to sacrifice their troops and the civilians they are suppose to be defending needlessly. The fact that the majority of Imperial deals end up with the other side backstabbed doesn't help either, especially with how precarious it shows Csilla's position to be if the Empire should ever feel like bringing the Chiss completely under their rule, such as maybe after the Empire destroyed the Republic. He knows the Ruling Families are aware of that too, but it doesn't help how he sometimes just wants for the Chiss to leave the whole war behind and let the two sides burn each other down. Then maybe he could retire and write his stories full-time, even if only for his own amusement. Until then, he'll be doing what needs to be done for his people while serving the Empire while letting out some snark when appropriate. Thankfully, he does still enjoy puzzles, the chance to one-up others, and the times he can screw the Empire without getting caught. If he can also help people who are in tight spots and don't deserve to be at the same time, all the better. History: Evrain had a typical Chiss childhood in Csilla. He was a quiet, well-behaved child that did well in school whose well-to-do parents who cared for him, encouraged his natural talents, and instilled in him the Chiss principles and virtues. He joined the Defense Force after he became an adult at the age of ten. He proved his mettle in some minor skirmishes with pirates from the Unknown Regions and was chosen to be trained as a member of the Chiss Secret Police. After he passed the training with flying colors, he was assigned the mission to serve the Empire as per the treaty. In addition, Evrain was assigned to to spy on the Empire for the Ascendency and give info about strengths, weaknesses, and when the Empire was poised to turn on the Chiss. His first major challenge was the sheer culture shock of Dromund Kaas. His instructors tried to prepare him for it, but it was still a shocker. Even stoic humans often portrayed more emotion than a Chiss was want to do and everyone else felt that they could be as freely emotional as they wanted to in public, especially insane Sith who Evrain soon learned to avoid like the plague if possible. At first, Evrain became more coldly professional than he usually was in an attempt to have some control of his new environment. He got along with most of his new instructors as he went through Imperial Intelligence training with that persona, but he soon found that he was quickly distancing himself from his colleagues. Since that could prove detrimental to his mission, he observed how they interacted with each other than slowly adapted what he saw to his interactions with them added in with his infiltration training. There were some initial false starts (one which caused the scar on his face when he made an accidental innuendo while trying to disengage from an unsuccessful flirting attempt with a female Rattataki) but he eventually was able to create his cocky, laid-back, friendly flirt persona that became his ticket to socializing. It was while socializing that he came across fiction that was simply for fun and not concerned with being moral tales. He was hooked from the start, though he fought to keep it on the down low so that it couldn't be exploited against him. Any free moment he had he'd read stories and watch holo-vids, accessed and acquired through various different secret identities. As he finished his new training, he started to dabble in some writing himself. But he never allowed it to get in the way of his objectives. His first assignments were small time things; get info from Republic bases of little importance, persuade neaturals to fight with the Empire by any means necessary, low-key assassinations. What he reported to his imperial bosses wasn't always the exact truth about what was happening, but he found that he could get away with acting on in compassion as long as he could spin it right or rely on exact words. His successes caused him to rise through the ranks until he became Cipher Seven. Now he needs to prepare himself for a whole new playing field and his next assignment will see if he can still make this work. _________________ Equipment: Evrain carries the standard equipment of a Cipher agent such as a vibro-knife, a blaster rifle, a med kit, some stun and regular grenades, and a disguise kit that ranges from makeup and fake contacts to a programmable hologram capable of enclosing his entire body. He also wears discrete blaster-resistant armor under his uniform or other clothes. Skills: - Master of stealth: Evrain is able to sneak around without being heard and have the drop on his unsuspecting target. - Close-range combat: Evrain is skilled in standard close-combat fighting with knives or fists. Useful for after sneaking up on a target. - Use of Blasters: Evrain has a fairly good accuracy with blasters and blaster rifles. - Tactics: A solid grasp of how to use them, though his methods are sometimes met with raised eyebrows. - Medical: Evrain has learned to treat himself and others in cases of emergency with standard medical supplies and some creative ones when needed. - Observation and Analysis: Evrain has a highly eidetic memory and a high perception of his surroundings and others helped by his ability to see into the infrared. Together, his brain is able to analysis the pieces and come to conclusions he acts upon to make himself a successful agent. - Infiltration: Evrain is a successful agent, able to pretend to be anyone he needs to be and manipulate the people he needs to manipulate. _________________ Misc: The disguise kit is to answer the question about how could a Chiss agent be successful in an infiltration mission when Chiss are known to work for the Empire. He's a terrible cook, ruining everything he touches. When on his own, he makes himself survive on ration packs. A well-cooked meal is one of the few things he'll pay through the nose to get. He has secretly become very fond of fiction stories, particularly action-adventures and comedies, and has even started writing some when he has privacy.
