I do agree that Goku-Vegeta rivalry had a level of respect to it and the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke is Sasuke's jealousy while Naruto has more of an admiration for Sasuke. 
Naruto wants a level of respect while Sasuke is just jealous and bitter, oh SO bitter.
