Ambra was waiting for the horse to actually move. The heat was pounding down more and more atop her head, and she was afraid that she would get sunburn- again. She was a really pale woman, bound to become injured by the sun. The large globe would sear her skin much like fire would sear boar skin as it roasted. She sighed, removing her water pouch and screwing off the top. The water was already lukewarm when she felt it go down her throat, but she supposed that was to be expected. She sighed, wanting to get out of this damned heat and just wallow in a city. The buildings would provide some shade, at least more than the middle of the desert. A shadow flitted over them, and a gust of dry wind. She perked, looking to the side and seeing a white Pegasus land on the floor with all of the grace it could muster. It was a fantastic beast, snow white in color with a glorious mane. A young woman rode it, and for some reason, she looked very familiar to the red haired archer. She narrowed her eyes as the woman spoke. Even her voice sounded very familiar… almost too familiar. It was then that the woman looked over at her and paused before saying her name. Ambra’s eyes grew wide, and she smiled. She finally knew who this woman was. ”Ali?” she used a pet name to address her, the smile growing wider and wider by the second. The two friends had met one day in the barracks due to her mount, who did not like Ambra that well. ”I thought they had gotten you too!” she basically wailed. She was so excited and very relieved. Tears were coming to her eyes, but she blinked them away. ”This… this man… he’s going to take us to the nearest city. I have so much to tell you!”
