Since the Dark Side seems to need a little boost and the initial Dev build doesn't seem to be needed for those boys, here's Dev Version 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Name: Devronian Arx Age: 26 Class: Sith Warrior Home Planet: Balmorra _________________ Appearance: Standing in at 6' even and weighing nearly 180 lbs, the Zabrak Dev is a rather large gentleman but not naturally imposing. With his daily, intense physical regimen, Dev is rather strong naturally for a Jedi. His skin is red, with traditional black markings upon his face, along with a ring of horns around the crown of his head. He was born bald, his genetics not allowing for the growing of hair. But these features do not much matter, given Dev always wears his helmet since his fall to the dark side. He hides every inch of his person behind his armor, creating an almost inhuman appearance (as intended). Personality: Dev in more recent years, has become a raging wildfire of emotion. Anger, fear, and pain have twisted the once level-headed Jedi Knight into a force of destruction. Dev will always be one to strike first, and ask questions later. His quickness to anger makes Dev difficult to socialize with or get close to. While often angry and impatient, Dev does maintain a level of clarity when performing simple actions, such as cooking or piloting. His piloting in high stress situations remains calculated and clear. At the same time, Dev is one of honor and tradition. He never strikes down a foe without provocation, and never kills an unarmed opponent. He also rarely backs down from a challenge, coming from the mindset that if you hit your head against a wall hard enough and long enough, it'll break eventually. Dev is not one for unnecessary and extreme evil. He doesn't kill civilians for the sake of the dark side, believing himself to be a "true vessel of justice" that the Jedi could never become. He believes himself judge, jury, and executioner. Dev is one to butt heads with serial murderers and straight criminals, seeing them as lesser individuals acting purely on their own personal pleasures. In Dev's mind, he is a selfless crusader. He does struggle with his actions and his own lapses in judgement and morality, but tends to bottle this in to further fuel his rage-induced crusade of "justice." History: Raised on Balmorra as the only child of two Zabrak immigrants, Dev was forced from an early age into the droid factories. He made barely any money and worked in illegal conditions, but it was what one did to help their family. He was instilled with a sense of honor and duty to his parents, though they did not share the same beliefs. They were selfish, focused on their family name being important in the galaxy. So when a Jedi Knight had somehow traced down Dev and informed his parents that the child was force sensitive, he was whisked away to Ossus and trained to be a Jedi Knight. Gasus Corin, a Zabrak Jedi Master at the time, took in Dev from the beginning and trained him. He could tell early on that Dev's connection to the force itself was not strong, but his determination and perseverance were unparalleled amongst the padawans at the time. The two made a quick connection, especially given Corin was a brilliant lightsaber duelist who taught "The Perseverance Form." Dev took to it simply, becoming a remarkable lightsaber duelist early on. Due to the slightly turbulent nature of Dev's emotions, he was rarely called upon to serve alongside his master when peace needed to be kept. To ensure the padawan did not feel out of place on these assignments, he was taught from an early age to pilot the transport shuttles and craft that they took on assignment. On top of this, Dev often occupied himself with somewhat menial tasks. The padawan found himself cooking on-board the ship, as well as using his minimal knowledge of droids and the factory he worked on to get a better understanding of how to patch up the ship when things ultimately went wrong. Somehow, everything felt clear in the cockpit of a starship for Dev, or while in the kitchen or workshop. He never truly got the chance to gain intense experience in any of these skills until much later in life, but he knows enough to get by. Once undergoing the appropriate trials, Dev did manage to attain the status of Jedi Knight at a slightly delayed age. He had shown levels of restraint and control over the years, and was admittedly a very talented duelist. He is one of a select few Jedi who had achieved a decent mastery of both Ataru (for single combat) and Shien (for larger crowds). It was fitting, then, that he would be involved in the end of the Beast Wars. He was called in as backup, and watched the battle at Iziz and its horrors. He had never truly fought in open combat before, and the thrill of battle scared him. He enjoyed the challenge of battle, and felt he had found his calling as a warrior. Even more so, he was impressed by the raw power that even he felt in the force that day. The enemies he fought had a vigor and power behind them, and Dev was touched by the dark side. He wanted its power so that he could use it for good. But this, of course, was forbidden by the Jedi religion. For the next few months, Dev spoke to several other Jedi Knights and the Jedi Masters on Ossus to question the nature of the dark side. And over those few months, his allies and friends began to distance themselves and Dev himself heard the whisperings of the others at the Temple. They had branded him as corrupted and power-hungry, as someone unworthy of the title of Jedi. Little did they realize their whisperings only fueled Dev's thirst for knowledge and understanding. He was not surprised when the Jedi Masters brought him in to speak with him. Dev was warned that his questions were having negative effects on the padawans, and they asked him to cease his inquiries into the dark side. His own Master explained to Dev the dangers of pursuing the dark side, and that there was no place in the Jedi Order for an individual who sought such power. They gave Dev the choice to remain as a Jedi. In that moment, he agreed. And they pretended to believe him. So it wasn't surprising when Devronian Arx disappeared overnight, having hopped onto a cargo freighter with only a gut feeling in the force driving him. He travelled to Yavin 4, guided by a dark force he barely understood. Once there, he felt the dark side stronger than before. He had spent so long trying to hold on to that feeling of strength and pure power, and it was stronger than ever. It was like a drug, almost. The power was intoxicating for the Jedi Knight. His mind was corrupted, his emotions were unbalanced. In the solitude in that forest that permeated with the dark side, Dev was saturated in the anger and rage he had suppressed for years. He came to terms with the freedom he had away from the Jedi Order. He was not bound by politics and the whims of the Republic. He could do what he always sought to do: bring Justice to the Galaxy. He doesn't dream of conquering it, of subjugating the populaces in the Galaxy. In truth, like many before and many after, Dev's intentions were relatively pure. His methods, however, were far from it. He spent only a few days on Yavin 4, paying the crew all the money he had for their time and trouble. Of course, that wasn't quite enough. They saw the potential in bringing in a Jedi exile. The bounty was fresh and reasonable. And yet these traders underestimated the strength Dev had. He could feel the tension when he boarded the ship, a benefit of years of training in the force. It was a shame he had to cut them all down, and seize the ship for himself. He took no pride in it, but it was the way of justice. They acted on their greed, and paid for it with their lives. Dev spent the next year of his life hunting down parts to craft a new lightsaber. He managed to find parts scattered across Black Market hubs in the outer rim, most of a surprisingly high quality. While not one to indulge himself in greed, Dev was forced to purge a few unlucky criminals and arms dealers who dared to refuse the Jedi Exile on his quest to build himself the perfect weapon. He had studied the holocrons in his earlier years on lightsaber creation, and on what was theoretically possible. And so it was crafted: a blade of pure power. A Qixoni Crystal had been located, one that enhanced Dev's raw power. He was not a fan of it's blood red color at first, but over time learned that it struck fear in the hearts of his victims. The other elements were similarly crafted and pieced together to strike fear, to act as a deterrent for abhorrent violations of justice. The Retribution, he called it. And it's most unique quality was that it was a dual-phase lightsaber, the components itself took six months to uncover and locate on the Black Market. Dev was happy to slay the competition of the Black Market dealer in exchange for the piece. Of course, he met his demise for his greed as well. The armor was assembled quicker. Dev was forward thinking, and knew that a good set of armor would be a last line of defense to protect him in the event things went truly south. His reputation proceeded him, and the arms dealer who assembled and modified the armor did so out of pure fear for his life. It was a smart choice, and Dev left him to his own devices. The man had a family, after all. The most notable fight in Dev's career after falling from the Jedi was the fight against his own master, Gasus Corin. It was a twist of fate, almost willed by the force, that Master and Apprentice had to duel it out. Their connection was strong, and Corin was able to find Dev with relative ease when his actions were considered too vile by the Order. He was an abomination to the Jedi religion. And Gasus Corin was an obstacle in Dev Arx's way. The two locked blades for nearly an hour. Gasus Corin was a good teacher, perhaps too good. Of course, Dev's fighting technique is not what ended up winning him the duel. It was his lightsaber. Gasus Corin had managed to grasp Dev's right hand, steadying the blade while Dev manuevered the lightsaber but centimeters from his master's chest. With a flick of a switch, the blade extended. The pain loosened the grip, and Dev cut the saber deeper before swiping the blade out. Another quick swipe and his master's head went rolling along the ground. Dev bested one of the greatest lightsaber duelists he had ever known. The kill didn't quell the rage, nor fuel it. It left Dev feeling empty and conflicted. After that, Dev has been wandering for the last year, continuing his quest of Justice. It wouldn't be hard for him to come into the company of a proper Sith or a bounty hunter. All he needed was the right motivation.
Lightsaber: Boasting a streamlined edge and having a slightly longer than average hilt, this dual-phase lightsaber was rebuilt to hold a more intimidating appearance, and was powered by a Qixoni Crystal he managed to find on the possession of a black market dealer he executed.
Detpacks: While not a fan of using explosives or "crude" weapons, Dev does find the need for explosive devices on occasion. And so, he has managed to purchase a small supply of primitive explosive devices that pack an impressive punch, and can be used for breaching or blowing out the legs of anyone who tries to get a jump on the Sith Warrior.
Skills:

Force Sensitive: While not incredibly attuned with the force, he is capable of performing basic feats with the force. His primary method of using his force sensitivity, however, is to enhance his durability, agility, and strength to perform impressive feats. His recent attunement with the dark side has only heightened this ability, making him a deadly foe for even a Jedi to handle on their own. He lacks the skill and training to choke someone out or shoot lightning from his fingers, but who needs that when you have a laser sword?
Lightsaber Duelist: Dev is a master of both the Ataru and Form V variant Shien lightsaber forms, but not the greatest duelist in either. His proficiency in both does allow him to switch between them in combat as needed. He has, on very rare occasion, even used the reverse Shien grip on his lightsaber if it means throwing an opponent off their game. His dual-phase saber and lengthened grip also allows for greater leverage in combat, while keeping the element of surprise.
Piloting: While no ace pilot, Dev knows his way around a cockpit and has managed to get his hands on a small scrapper of a freighter, allowing him to fly where he needs to and with a crew as needed. This being said, Dev is a better gunner or co-pilot than starfighter or even cargo pilot.
Cooking: A strange skill picked up from his time as a Jedi was the art of cooking. He's not the best cook, but with the proper supplemental proteins and spices (not the fun kind), he can whip up something relatively tasty when the occasion arises.
Jerry-Rigging: By no means a mechanic, the brief skills Dev learned as a child in the droid factory helps to keep himself and his equipment working just long enough that nothing breaks at the wrong time. He's not good at fixing things, more of delaying its self-implosion. That being said, the only thing Dev can craft remarkably well are lightsabers, a little better than the average Jedi Knight who had to craft their lightsaber with the cookie-cutter parts given by the Order. Dev's custom-built lightsaber after his fall to the dark-side is a testament to that ability, even if it is just the combination of pre-assembled parts.
