Main Plot: You can play as a survivor of the ship that was lost at sea or as one of the natives of the magical Island. Main plot would be slice-of-life centering around the survivors and native peoples learning from each other, adapting, falling in love, and living life. Player driven side plots are also encouraged. I would call it semi-sandbox style, as there will be set Island/Native lore, but you can play out scenarios as you see fit. Explore the Island. Play a catholic priest bent on baptizing the natives. Play a native who is hostile towards outsiders. Play a native who wants to leave the island after hearing about London. Play a Greedy Survivor who calls the natives savages behind there back and plans to make himself rich from the land after returning to England. Play a survivor who wants to get back home to his family. Play a helpful sailor who teaches the Village how to make booze...ETC... Setting: A magical tropical Island located somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. And there are Villages of native people living there, who call the island home. Alongside your typical plants and animals there are a few mystical ones. Such as dragons and unicorns. The magical stuff only applies to the Island, as the rest of the world is the same non-magical earth that we know. Playable Characters: You can choose to play either as an Island Native, or as a survivor of the ship. Native characters would all know one another, having grown up side by side in their community. They have their own religion, gods, traditions, and beliefs. 50% of the natives also have simple elemental magic. Ship Survivors will start after docking on the far side of the island. They have been lost for months at sea. There is only a handful of survivors aboard the ship, and they are just happy to be on land. Anyway they will at first have no idea about the natives, or where they are. The stars in the sky are in the wrong place and their compass just keeps spinning. The ship is a 1500s-1700s (undecided) British merchant ship, so keep in mind the time period/place your character is from. For simpicity sake there will not be a language barrier issue.
