Please, just call me Walter."
24 | Male | 158 lbs | 5'6 Fire[sub]Goa[/sub] | Native | Human Description A famous knight who is tired of the bullshit he has to deal with. Personality Despite being well-regarded across the kingdom, Walter seems to not let the fame go over his head. Humbly avoiding the spotlight when he needs to, Walter tries to correct the various exaggerations of his past deeds whenever he can, but to little avail. In truth, it is because Walter is well aware that he isn't as great of a knight that people say he is. At the same time, however, he doesn't outright deny the many stories about him and his deeds. Walter uses his status and legend as a means of both raising the morale of his fellow warriors as well as intimidating lesser foes. Perhaps one of Walter's greatest personality traits is his patience when dealing with others. Having to deal with various troublesome people in his career as a knight (some more than others), Walter is extremely tolerant with all sorts of stress and annoyance. This is due, in part, to his caring nature when it comes to those who are close to him and especially to his subordinates. He tries his best to lead those under him to the right path, taking his time with each individual in ensuring that they do their very best, making up for his shortcomings by improving upon the strengths of his allies. Walter will make sure that none of his men are left behind, no matter how difficult they may be. Class While his combat skills are, for a knight, sub-par, Walter's main strengths are his intelligence and charisma. As such, he will play the role as both a tactician and a leader, reinforcing his allies' morale while providing strategic insight both in and out of battle. Out of these two skills, however, his ability to inspire and influence his allies has enough potential for him to lead an entire nation. In other words, if he wished to pursue such a path, becoming a king is in the realm of possibility. Bio The Walters were well known among the nobility of Lugunica as being both masters of the spiritual arts as well as their hatred for demi-humans. The current heir of this generation, Charlot, had neither of these things. Known as a talent-less hack when it comes to magic as well as his first girlfriend having cat ears, he was considered to his parents as a "scandal waiting to happen." At the same time, Charlot did not appreciate the controlling nature of his family who supported the idea of enslaving all those who aren't human. It was mutually agreed that Charlot would find his own glory in the king's army while the civil war against the demi-humans raged on. As a knight, Charlot's skill at arms was at the bare minimum. His retention of combat tactics and keen mind, however, make up for his mediocre combat ability. None of this mattered, however, as Charlot was placed in a division filled with the likes of the disabled and other nobles of high-standing; a division created politically with the intention not to take part in the horrors of combat. Seeing it as the machinations of his parents' political connections, Charlot cared little for the idea. To him, he'd get the fame and recognition his family wished of him while he gets to be posted away from his parents. It was a win-win situation, either way, especially since the war seemed to be reaching its closing. One fateful night, however, Charlot's camp was attacked by a small force of demi-human insurgents who knew of their existence and lack of combat experience. It was meant to be a sneak attack, formed at the dead of night when everyone should be asleep. Despite this, however, Charlot, who was awake at the time, managed to rally everyone else awake and stop the insurgents in their tracks, resulting in an overwhelming victory for the division with zero losses. Charlot was hailed as a hero for this accomplishment, and was granted a position to lead in future battles. What really happened that night, however was that Charlot needed to pee. Waking up in the middle of the night after a day of drinking and partying, Charlot made his way to the latrine to relieve himself. As soon as he realized his stream of relief was hitting an oversized pair of rat ears, however, he started freaking out, running around his dormitory and screaming about 'perverts' hiding in the restroom while stirring everyone else from their slumber. The rest was history, lost to the annals of time as only the first of the many heroic deeds that Sir Charlot had performed. Despite his many attempts to decline all rumors about his supposed heroism that night, the many battles that Charlot had lead after this night all resulted in some sort of victory. With each victory, rumors of his heroics grow to larger proportions. After the war had ended, Charlot was hailed as a hero of the kingdom, and was granted the favor of even the king, himself. While he was considered to become a royal knight, Charlot had declined multiple times, believing it would be best that he were to lead other, much younger knights like himself. Because of this, he was set to lead a new group of noble children, many of which are considered 'beyond help' to turn into proper knights. Sir Walter, however, took this as a challenge. Now that a month has passed, however, the senior knight begins to regret this decision... Magic Life energy: D - - [sub](He has two deal with two of them...)[/sub] Flow: C Spirit-Arts User, though he can only physically make contracts with lesser spirits. The lesser spirit he is currently contracted with is Ros. Abstract Magic Divine Protection of Ensured Conquest Perhaps the most famous aspect of Walter's legend, it is rare and powerful blessing that gives insurance of one's victory in battle. No matter how dire ones odds look in conflict, whether it is against a single opponent or in a wide-scale battle fought with multiple adversaries, the side belonging to the owner of this blessing shall be victorious. However, there are multiple conditions that must be met in order for this protection to take effect that are too varied to easily keep track of. Despite its conditional nature, it is because of this blessing that Walter's military career has been met with many praises. Extra There is a reason why Walter drinks alcohol. In other words, Roa is completely useless to any spirit user actually worth their salt. W-who are you calling weak? ;w; Extra Ros was given to Sir Walter as a gift from the king, who had offered him one of the spirits under the control of the royal family. Despite the many powerful spirits offered before him, however, Sir Walter was only able to form a contract with the one who had delivered him the message in the first place.
