Gainsborough, the shining heart of the Esoterrian Empire. Home to over five billion people, Gainsborough is the biggest concentration of people on the face of the earth and you can tell. An endless sea of bronze structures, copper wheels, and thick steam vents stretches across the horizon and beyond. The setting sun reflects off the polished copper, covering the entire city in a fiery glow. Countless airships dot the sky, their propellers producing a steady hum that can be heard even in the lowest basement. Not all the city is filled with grandeur and splendor however. Like the copper from which it is built, the city easily corrodes and decays. Within the bowels of the gigantic city, an evil is forming. Corruption, lawlessness, anarchy…they are all slowly permeating the shining metal walls and travelling closer to the surface. You can see it travelling through the slums, desperation, a desire to survive. What can government do to help billions of starving people? Prosperity has cursed the human race. Constant expansion has led to a decrease in land for farming, hunting, or ranching. Nobody thought that food and water would ever be a thing we would lose completely, so they were unprepared. 


Ok, so I'm new to all this and I figured the best way to learn is just to do it, so here we go. This is an idea I've been pretty interested in and I just wanted to start off with a small 1x1 RP just to get used to it. My original idea was an pirate airship captain and his female first mate. If you're interested let me know! I'm super open to any kind of suggestions. I don't have any major plot lines or expectations, I just want to try this out!
