He picked up a handful of the coarse, sandy material and put it into one of his empty satchels, feeling it necessary for investigation later on. The wood elf was soon brought back to reality by the fighter's grim voice, the gruff human warning him of the light and sounds that could be seen in the distance. Standing up, Jakyn peered through the thick trees to where the warrior had described, the light moving and swaying while the sounds of battle died down quickly. A large, bird-like shape shot through the trees shortly after. "Well, it seems like such a fight is already done with.", Jakyn commented, already walking at a brisk pace over to the light. ✦ ✦ ✦ Jakyn departed from the beaten path towards the now non-present light, his legs softly gliding through the forest's dense foliage as he began to near the location where the light had once been. It had darted out of sight when the wood elf was about half-way towards it, but he could still indicate the area it had originated from. Jakyn lighted his own torch, and soon came across the corpse of a giant centipede, its body slashed and torn, and gooey bits of greenish-purple blood bubbling out of its exoskeleton. He assumed this creature was the source of the fighting Jakyn looked up from the insect to see a human female crouched next to a tree, staring at the wood elf silently. Jakyn locked eyes with the woman for a moment, glancing at her natural garments and primal demeanor before concluding she was a druid, much like those he had known in his tribe. "Hello, druid. I mean you no harm. Your torch light attracted me. Are you alright?", Jakyn said, first in Elvish, and then common. Jakyn gave the woman time to respond, before continuing with "My name is Jakyn; I come for the voice. Excuse me while I inspect your kill." The warlock then took time to crouch next to the bug and carefully inspect its body. It was indeed huge, and possessed a mass of intriguing markings painted onto its body. It seemed much more like an owned pet than a wild animal; it certainly couldn't paint those inscriptions itself. The wood elf began deciphering the natural mystery of this giant centipede, and indeed if it was a species that was poisonous, as well as potentially numerous. He also paid attention to the markings, trying to call to memory if he had ever seen such runes in his time as a tribesman.
