Said leader reigns for life. Military: The Rosicrucian defence forces is based on universal male conscription. All men above 18 years of age are liable to serve, and must remain combat ready throughout their lives. While under arms, conscripts are given food, lodging, clothing and healthcare. Conscripts may extend their service for three years after their compulsory service is over, whereupon they join the regulars. It is illegal to fire someone because of their military obligations. Economy:(Just short description of the current state of the economy, as well as which area’s it focused on) Culture: The Order is a devout Viast nation and as such respect for Viasm is expected at all times. Mocking, disrespecting or blaspheming Viasm or its holy texts can be punished with imprisonment, and religious assemblies not approved by the Viast church are forbidden. Referring to a member of the clergy as anything other than "father" or "mother", with the exemption of monastic orders, is utterly disrespectful. Monks and nuns, however, should be referred to as "brother" or "sister", and referring to them as father or mother can be seen as mocking. Visitors are reminded not to forget their place. The Church demands that all men are to be considered equal before the Father, and therefore one should treat a peasant the same one would treat a lord. When talking to someone you are unfamiliar with, the safest thing to do is to use their title - it is not uncommon for a lord to refer to a peasant as "my good man" or "good sir". Arrogance is looked down upon harshly, so boasters and braggarts will quickly find themselves surrounded by hostile faces. The Order teaches that the aristocracy and church are to be the stewards of men, and not their masters. Their job is to lead them in the Father's name, not to make demands from them. Therefore, aristocrats will find themselves burdened by the yoke of the church's harsh demands for morality; it is simply unacceptable for one of the landed elite to be seen as a sinner. The Order maintains authority over the aristocrats, and has the power to confiscate land. Submission to the church is absolute. All power in the state ultimately derives from the church and may be confiscated by the church. History: Other: [/hider]
