As soon as the platoon disembarked, a defensive perimeter was formed around the rooftop to clear any infected that might be left. Colt then met up with Sgt. Burke, the squad leader of the HAM Troopers. 

[b]Colt:[/b] Sergeant Burke, you and your squad will be assigned to primary reconnaissance, scout out the city and report back to the rendezvous point immediately.

[b]Burke:[/b] Alright sir, we'll do the job for ya.

Burke then turned around to address the rest of his squad. 

[b]Burke:[/b] Squad! Move into formation Beta-1 and move out!

As the HAMs received their sergeant's message on the coms, they immediately started moving, three of them grouped up and jumped away from the building, falling through the air before activating their jetpacks and flying away. One other trooper then joined up with Burke and went the opposite direction. All five of them ultimately dissapeared after a few seconds as Colt and the Assault Troopers prepared for their recon op. About 4 of the troopers started setting up gun emplacements and barricades around the rooftop, fortifying it against whatever infected that would show their ugly faces there.

Suddenly, the troopers' helmet sensors detected something coming up the stairs. In an instant, they formed a position around the door, with guns at the ready. After a few seconds, the door opened, revealing a seemingly non-infected human carrying a sniper rifle. Some of the troopers lowered their blasters and others kept the barrel of their rifle trained on the man and the doorway. Colt would lower his own firearm before asking.

[b]Colt:[/b] Who are you, a survivor? Are there more of you?

Not long after Colt asked, another entity appeared from the doorway. His arrival promoted all of them to aim their guns again, now facing a new non-human creature. It looked odd enough with its grotesque appearance and weird clothing, but it did not seem like the rest of the infected. The creature then spoke, albeit weirdly, to which Colt replied.

[b]Colt:[/b] Yes, we are. Now identify yourself. Are you infected?
