Is this true?[/quote]I have not read the book. I am going based on what was presented in the movie. In the movie artifacts are not really explained in a lot of detail. In the movie during the final battle there were multiple people wearing the MJOLNIR armor from Halo, that could have been ordinary gear like buying clothes at Walmart or they could have been an Artifact. I went with Artifact. The current equipment the Specters and the rest of the contestants are wearing/using are not Artifacts.

While pretty much everything is a competition, due to the current situation it's in everyone's best interests to work together. Humanity being humanity they won't all work together. If your character is not clanned, that's cool but if he gets into trouble he won't have anyone he can call upon to get him out of it. Your avatar could pay people for their help or he could depend on the kindness of strangers.

This particular contest is a one off thing that won't see a conclusion, because the sponsor is [color=ed1c24]SPOILERS[/color].
