Fael of the Wintersun

At first, Fael didn't seem to notice anything was wrong. He was away from the ports, but the sudden rush of people and noise drew him closer. Which was a mistake, as he seemed to freeze in place, horror stricken. Not at what was happening, but it evoked in him memories of his home and clan. That night wasn't something he often thought about, but it was the reason he hadn't bothered to settled down in a populated area. He seemed to break out of his fear-induced stupor at the sound of young voices. Through the panic-stricken crowd he made out the sounds of children. He couldn't allow someone to get separated from their parents. Forcing himself to focus on the situation around him and mustering up the small amount of courage he had left, the laguz focused on sounds and took off towards the docks. There he spotted a young boy by his lonesome, shedding a few tears in fear. It seemed he had been separated from his parents. Fael knelt by him, but that only seemed to worsen the problem. He suddenly felt acutely aware of his own ancestry, and that was probably the reason why. But he'd long steeled himself against that, and picked up the kid, carrying him over his shoulder. He weaved between crowds of people moving either direction, looking for a safe place to leave him. Thankfully, he spotted a group of sisters ushering by a group of people. He approached them, getting the attention of the nearest one. "Please take care of him." He mumbled, referring to the young boy. The sister nodded and he entrusted him to her. Sighing in relief, he looked back towards the port and took off towards it again. Unfortunately, his frail frame didn't take for shoving through a crowd moving in the opposite direction. Biting his lip briefly, he shifted forms and slipped through the people, looking for displaced people. Seeing none that commanded him attention, he headed closer to where people were under attack. If he couldn't help people, at least he could try and help to prevent the town from being overrun.
