20 human worlds have revolted against the ‘Unitart Repulbic of Terra’ while elements of have military have staged a coup giving rise to ‘The Free Citizen’s Federation’. All Retaliatory forces sent by the URT were pushed back by the Republic ships captured by the FCF. 

July 1, 2142

Republic naval forces have adopted aggressive doctrine that proved successful but, with the federals being able to turn the tide in a few but important battles they avoided defeat. The battles in turned regular people into legends for the both factions prolonging the war even further. The Federals in turned hit and run tactics reducing casualties and hurting the man power of republics which one fed for every six rep.

October 30 2142

Orbital Drop INsertion or ODIN was formed by the republic as an counter measure against the guerrilla tactics of the federal.  We devastating effect and results in Lusitania they decided to completely make the it into a proper military unit.

January 4, 2143

Federal commanders wanted to copy the ODIN template into their own forces as they captured a unit of the special forces in a counter offensive against Icarus station that was orbiting the swamp world of Hesperus which resulted in a swift victory that ended with them acquiring ODIN equipment that the republican forces failed to destroy which helped them to form their own ODIN troopers which extended the war even further. 

Around 2144

the people of both the Federation and the Republic were getting weary of war. Leaked footages of the war and its brutality circulated around and it had begun to rouse the people of both nations into protest.

December 21, 2144

A cease fire was agreed upon by the two factions which finally ended the blood shred for the first time since three years giving opportunity for the planets and the two fractions to rebuild. 
    
January 5, 2145 

The first encounter ended with a civilian vessel was destroyed by an unknown force. Signaling the first interstellar war of man with these unknown beings. Forcing the two factions to lay down their hate for one another to team up against this new threat but, before they did the enemy has already captured five worlds.

Then the first joint ODIN Division was made in order to combat the unknown force making the News to dub them as heroes and legends branding them with numerous names associated to their last hope.

Aftermath of the war

The Federal side having captured 43 planets but have seriously damaged infrastructure and many casualties.

The Republicans on the other have have a much more favorable positions as they didn't have the damage the federals had but, public support took a hit as an result.
