She's humorous (or at least tries to be) and isn't very trustworthy unless you've broken through her barriers. Her "act" just covers up a lot of her true feelings, but when it concerns bullies she's 100% pure in heart. She may have a few triggers that she isn't aware of yet, but the only one for now is that she freaks when she sees a snake.

Aspen concentrates on what is most important to her, and she's also down to Earth. She doesn't believe in false identities, every person has purpose and something they need to live up to. Whether it be a hairdresser, a detective, or just manning up and saving the whole goddamn world. Every moment is a decision that you make, every relationship shapes who you are, and every second you spend you never get back. So Aspen tries to make the most of her life, and leave as less regrets behind her as possible.

[b][color=9e005d]How did you discover your powers:[/color][/b] When Aspen was 2 years old, she was in the middle of having her diaper changed by her mother. Before her mother was finished, her density became so heavy that she broke through the changing station, falling on the ground unhurt. Her mother took her to a "Gifted Kids" therapist, where they found out that Aspen had powers. Her mother tried her best to make living easy for her daughter, but after a few accidents happening at school and eventually Aspen beating a bully to pulp at school (he ended up dying from the injuries), she was handed over to Xavier's house of gifted youngsters (at 14 years old). It was there that she was able to explore the extent of her powers and what she could do. When Aspen turned 17 she discovered a new power, the power to manipulate gravity to her own liking. Sometimes when she's frustrated, she'll sit on the ceiling and read comics for hours on end. It would be almost impossible to get her down.

[b][color=9e005d]Why did you choose the side that you did?:[/color][/b] Aspen has always been for the protagonist. She was bullied as a child, and eventually brought herself to fight back. It did result in the injury of others, but she did whatever it took to end bullying. She believes that people don't deserve to be treated poorly, and always seeks out ways to prevent fighting between others. When situations get out of hand, she'll get involved and "do what's necessary". 

[b][color=9e005d]General History:[/color][/b] Aspen grew up without a father figure. Her dad was kicked out due to the fact that he was cheating on her mother, and her mother wouldn't give him a second chance. She was still mad at her father for doing what he did, but sometimes gets emailed by him, and he made sure to be somewhat involved in her life. He assumed that she's just an ordinary girl, since her mother told her to never tell him about the powers, if there was the off chance he would use it against either of them. What her mother never told her (until recently, a couple months ago when she turned 18) was that her father has powers. He had the ability to absorb light, and in doing so become younger, and also heal himself. Her mother never found out how old he is. 

Aspen grew up in a stable environment for the most part. She didn't move very often with her mom, but every few years Aspen would somehow reveal her powers and they'd have to leave their residence. Her mother grew up doing gymnastics, and she taught the same skills on to her daughter when she was 12. The last straw for her mom was when Aspen came home from school one night angry. She grabbed onto her moms shoulders to try and express how much she hated school, but instead ended up changing the density of her mothers body, making them both collapse into the floor. Her mother sustained a lot of injuries, including a gaping scar down her arm when a floorboard ripped through her skin.

When she came to the X-school, she was slow to make friends. One of the first people to interact with her was Rogue. She became a role model after finding out their common interest in music. Eventually they came to a halt in their relationship, as Rogue was busy going off and saving the world all the time. At least, that's how Aspen thought of it. Afterwards Aspen decided to branch off from her friend and become less dependent on one person at a time. She met this girl named Mary, who eventually became the leader of the X-Men. They never talked much, but she always seemed to like her. She was a pretty cool person but they never officially became friends. 

The first few things she learned when joining the school was that you never go solo. It was totally against her "code" of sorts, where she dealt with the bullies and people applaud her. Aspen grew to question certain things she learned, like how mutants were created or why some mutants had leadership positions when they were weak. The fighters should be the leaders, to protect the weak. She helped a younger kid who just joined the school to get used to the way things go, and they basically became family. They taught Aspen how to do Karate in both of their free time, in which she easily caught on and became a blackbelt 2 years later, when she turned 16. 

Aspen was in the hospital right before the mansion exploded, since her friend was dying from her own powers. Being in the presence of sickness makes her absorb that sickness, and eventually that day she had to witness the death of the person she called family. As she got back to the house, people were evacuating. She looked up to see that the whole mansion destroyed and could barely comprehend what she saw. The amount of anger she felt towards to people who did it was too much for her to handle, and she became so heavy that she fell through the concrete on the sidewalk. It took the help of a handful of people to get her out, all the while she was joking and pretending that nothing was wrong. She was angry, not just because her favorite CD soundtrack was in there, but also some of her random steel creations that she worked on in her free time. At that moment, Aspen know that she had to get on the X-men team, because she wanted to fight to prevent disaster, and to uphold the just cause.
