It's never quite clear what exactly she wants or why she wants it, and to be honest, it isn't entirely clear if she could even tell you. She is bright in both personality and intellect without a doubt - although she often seems to be without the sense she was born with. But be warned, although Malia may seem like she is one spell short of a full Tome, she belies a cunning and on occasion malicious streak.
[sub] [ ♡ ] B I O G R A P H Y [/sub]

Malia was born in Graymont to a loving mother and father. Her parents own a small shop which sold various trinkets and nicknacks. They were by no means a wealthy family, but comfortable and happy would be accurate descriptors. Malia never wanted for anything, but as a girl, she was always curious. What made things tick? How did the earth come to be? She often turned to books for answers, and when books did not provide what she was looking for she would find the answers herself - often by venturing somewhere or taking something apart. Her parents were not overly worried, as it was natural for a young girl to be so curious of the world around her but one day she discovered her talent for the arcane. Able to wield the element of fire was a wondorous thing for the teenager, but she lacked control. Her parents worried about what she might accidentally do and so arranged for her to meet an instructor and go on a journey. At first, Malia wrote to her parents, informing them of all her adventures and progress and then one day the letters stopped. About a month later Malia's instructor returned to her parent's shop and informed that when he had awoken one day Malia had gone - he'd spent weeks trying to find her but to no avail. There had been reports of brigands in the area and so he feared the worse. Malia's parents spent a painful three years grieving for their daughter until one day she came home. She walked through the door to the family shop as if she'd only been gone five minutes. Her parents were relieved but when they asked where Malia was she only ever gave one answer - I was learning to be a witch! Malia was different from before; she dressed oddly and consistently referred to herself as a witch, she wrote in a diary and would sometimes chuckle to herself and she had a strange pendant that she always kept on her person. Her parents were confused but were grateful just to have their daughter back alive and well. She also has a bit of a sweet tooth and has a bad habit of literally taking candy from children. Finally, although she has incredibly neat handwriting, her artistic skills are equivalent to about a four year old - she is still unable to colour inside the lines.
