I find myself at an odd impasse with technology, in that I prefer things corded and or analog, or that I prefer not everything being obscenely sleek and stylish. This goes in part with my preference for minimal technology, to the point if my duties did not demand a modern phone I would resort to simply having a far, far older one that could only place calls. I am partial to keyboards that require being plugged in and anything that has actual buttons rather than touchscreens. This I suspect has to do with my issue interfacing with anything that is not physical, not tangible. On the spider note, I may be the rare soul that makes a dedicated effort to not kill any creature that I am not obligated to, even spiders. I lament accidents of that nature even, feeling some amount of disappointment it had to come to it, but view it in the sense there was no other reasonable outcome. Then again I maintain a garden of wild things, flora and fauna alike, and have a particular empathy and connection toward them. The same reason I do not feel joy in killing another animal, even if lesser than I, for the sake of doing so. It needs have a purpose.
