In fact, one could go so far as to call her condescending and rude, but such is how she was raised. She respects only those she knows are stronger than her, everyone else should just shut up and get out of her way. However anyone who proves their equal will find her respect earned, along with a lightening of her overbearing personality. Just a tad though, she still needs to have fun somehow after all. When it comes to confrontations, she of course never backs down unless she absolutely must. She's certainly no idiot and isn't going to charge into a battle headfirst if she knows it's a suicide mission, but she will never back down from a challenge from a foe. She needs to prove her superiority after all, what kind of Magus would she be if she shied away from a challenge? She's not really used to dealing with people as stubborn as her, often clashing with them in order to get what she wants as opposed to what they want. Sometimes it can reach a point beyond reason, where she can no longer give up despite all the circumstances telling her she should. After all, giving up is losing, and it would take a very good reason for her to accept a loss willingly. However, she is not merely another rude overbearing Magus, beneath her rough exterior is a genuine friend if you can earn her respect and stay on her good side. She is surprisingly girly when you get down to brass tacks, hating getting her clothes dirty, enjoying romance novels and shoujo manga, even owning a collection of dolls she keeps hidden from everyone. Of course if you ever try to tease her about these things you'll likely find yourself with several more cuts than you had before, so try to stay in her good graces.
Background The tale of the Revynnes is one of woe truly. A five generation old family with pitiful Magic Circuits, unable to progress further with their Magecraft due to merely genetics. They were laughed out of the Clocktower after centuries of no advancements, retreating to Japan in an attempt to bring new blood into the pool and reignite their studies with the birth of a new heir. That new heir was Sophia and oh how did they ever get what they asked for. A prodigy in the art of Elemental Magic, quickly soaking up everything she was taught and only yearning for more and more. She was accepted into the Clocktower at the age of 15, burning through what they had to offer at an astounding rate. But it was all so boring to her. She learned much sure, but what did she ever do with what she learned? At least the Enforcers got to actually do something with their Magecraft, all she ever did was read books on theory. Then it came, one of the greatest events to rock the Moonlit World. The 5th Holy Grail War, 7 Masters and 7 figures from throughout history battling for the Holy Grail, a miraculous device said to grant whatever wish one desired. The first thing Sophia thought of upon hearing of it? "When's the next one?" Sophia's focus drifted away from theoretical subjects such as Astrology and Planetology. No, she changed courses and enrolled in the Spiritual Evocation department to learn everything about these Heroic Spirits so she could one day battle alongside one. She learned Spiritual Surgery so she could heal spirits, she took side classes on the creation of Mystic Codes so she could forge a weapon, she even began learning about Reinforcement so she could become a capable fighter in her own right. But tragedy struck the Revynne once more, news came in of the dismantlement of the Greater Grail system. The next day Sophia left the Clock Tower, citing that she felt stifled by the traditionalist methods of the Clock Tower and wished to explore her own avenues of advancing her Magecraft. She was spotted periodically throughout Europe, sometimes joining Dead Apostle Hunts alongside the Church or hunting Phantasmal Beasts for rare materials. She needed thrill in her life, something that would make her want to live, something that could push her Magecraft even further into the realms of the greats like the Barthomellois or the Archibalds in their prime. 4 years passed like this when the unthinkable happened. A pattern of red markings appeared on her hand, marking her as a Master for the next Holy Grail War. Preparations were made, Mystic Codes created, and a Servant was summoned. Now was the time to claim the Holy Grail for her greatest wish, to become a god amongst Magus. And nobody would stand in her way, especially not a bunch of old traditionalist bastards like the Church.
Magic Circuits Circuit Quantity: B Circuit Quality: A Affinity: Wind and Fire
Skills Driving: A favored past-time of hers, Sophia enjoys driving all types of vehicles. From motorcycles to massive trucks, Sophia has experience in driving a large variety of motored vehicles from her many adventures around Europe. She particularly favors her motorcycle she bought at the age of 24, having modded it to go at speeds up to 200 miles per hour. Mid-Range Combat: Sophia has trained herself to be most effective in mid range combat, utilizing her Magecraft and Mystic Codes to control the flow of battle at a comfortable distance. Firearms Expertise: Honestly, she never understood why more Magus didn't use modern conveniences like guns. She is proficient with all kinds of firearms barring heavy ordinances such as rocket launchers or miniguns of course, using them in her hunts of Phantasmal Beasts fairly often. It is much easier to punch through the skull of a Harpy with a high powered piece of metal than it is with something slow like a sword or a fireball after all.
Magecraft Basic Magecraft: This covers the basic essentials such as the transfer of mana, establishment of contracts, suggestion, reinforcement, creation of bounded fields, etc. Something any Magus worth their salt knows obviously. Fire Magic: Magic relating to the Affinity of Fire, Sophia is adept in the field but not quite as good as she is with Wind Magic. Wind Magic: Magic relating to the Affinity of Wind, whether it be blades of wind or kinetic force to redirect enemy projectiles, Sophia is an expert in the field of Wind Magic. Spiritual Surgery: Sophia knows the basics of Spiritual Surgery, just enough to help speed along the process of healing a Servant really. Reinforcement: Sophia is above proficient in the art of Reinforcement, regularly using it in her hunts to protect herself from a blow that would break bones or strengthening a shield just enough to withstand one more blow from an angry Phantasmal Beast.
Mystic Codes Book of the Sun: While she is not as good with Fire Magecraft as she is with Wind Magecraft, she makes up for the gap by using a book filled with various magic circles that can be activated to quickly fire off a variety of spells. Boots of Mercurius: Engraved with many runes, these boots can provide a nice burst of speed to escape from hot scenarios that Sophia can't handle. While not nearly fast enough to flee from the likes of a Servant, it's more than enough to get away from a spell flung by another Magus.
Weaknesses Close Range Combat: Sophia is not really built for close range combat, having enough experience in reinforcing her own body to stand up to a few good hits but not much else. Lack of Finishing Moves: Outside of a few longer casts in her Book of the Sun, she doesn't have any big finishing moves to quickly deal with foes. Most of the time she is stuck chipping away at foes with Wind Magecraft and waiting for them to bleed out.
