Her body type could be considered willowy, though she sees herself mostly as a stick with arms and legs. Her brightly colored hair is usually wild and untamed, swept into a side ponytail because that's the only way she really knows how to control it, only letting it down when she's at home. Her round face and eyes are usually accompanied by a permanent frown, only contorting into an annoyed expression when the situation calls for it. She doesn't pay much mind to fashion or really cares how she looks.[/indent]

[indent]Shiori's family has a lot of tension, coming mostly from her high-class mother marrying a low-class man and never getting used to the life. The passive-aggressiveness between the pair ended up getting directed at the kid keeping them together, resulting in a somewhat bitter upbringing. Shiori took out her frustration on her classmates, complicating the family life somewhat. During the summer, her aunt contacted them, explaining that she wanted her daughter to go to a normal high school rather than a private academy so that she would be a little more appreciative of what she had. At first Shiori's mother outright refused, not wanting the rest of her family to know her marriage was nearly in shambles, but Shiori herself ended up going over her mother's head and agreeing to it, seeing it as an opportunity to leave her parents' house. And so her aunt rented out a small house just for the two girls, boosting up Shiori's living situation and saddling her with her somewhat dim-witted cousin. For the most part, Shiori found Ichika's lack of common knowledge to be greatly entertaining, less so when she nearly burned down the place trying to cook one day, though.[/indent]

[indent]She doesn't really care about school that much, only going because she can't find a good paying job unless she graduates. If she can, she'd like to become a nurse. Once she gets said job she plans on becoming completely independent, never wanting to rely on anyone for anything.[/indent][/color]
