Lazlo is able to gain a almost complete understanding of any piece of technology through physical contact with it. He is also able to manipulate technology while in contact with it as well, for example causing a stalled elevator to fix itself or making a car's engine over heat and explode.

Not being human means that Lazlo is built from sturdy stuff than most people, literally. He is able to take injuries and damage that would kill most people and just keep on ticking like nothing ever happened. He is able to be exposed to both extremely high and low temperatures with little to no ill effects. Lazlo has no need to eat, drink, breath, or sleep in the traditional sense thus allowing him to push through conditions that would be considered unlivable by organic beings.

Lazlo's mind functions on a level of that of a machine, being able to take in and sort out information faster than most people. This allows him to analyze situations at an alarming rate and formulate what he considers would be the best course of action to take. [/color]

At the moment Lazlo is only able to form one type of his constructs at a time, as in he can't have both his Hammer Hands and the Hot-Rod formed at the same time.

Being mechanically based if he is exposed to a strong enough electrical current Lazlo sorts out in a sense, being left dazed and unable to form his constructs. A strong enough current being able to completely immobilize him and even leave him unconscious.

Despite his ability to interface with most machinery with ease Lazlo can find himself coming into contact with certain technologies that don't want to obey him. Complex A.I.s or powerful enough supercomputers can resist Lazlo's commands. Likewise if Lazlo tries to command a massive piece of machinery he can find himself being overloaded by its sheer mass and size.

Despite his best efforts and a pretty convincing front Lazlo at his bottom line just is not human. He finds it hard at times to be able to relate to true organic lifeforms. This at times causing him to be rather cold at times, seeing people as variables rather than actual lives.[/color]

One such advancement was the creation of the being known as M.O.D.O.K., the psychic powerhouse that has plagued this world for years. M.O.D.O.K.'s substantial mental powers comes at the cost that his body deteriorates at an alarming rate, his internal organs weathering away by the end of a few weeks time. M.O.D.O.K. found his old method of harvesting organs from a fleet of clones of himself rather cumbersome, which brought forth the creation of the Lazarus project."

"The goal was simple, create a body that could withstand M.O.D.O.K.'s mind without being burned out. Countless number of methods were considered, but at the end it was decided upon the creation of a robotic vessel that would be able to adapt to the requirements demanded by M.O.D.O.K. A number of subjects were created and failed until finally the Lazarus project came fruition. One of its subjects showed not only the ability to withstand the high stressors that would be set upon it by M.O.D.O.K., but also the unexpected development of being able to analyze and adapt to its surroundings.
