Roku typically spends most of his time at school away from the other students, silently brooding away to himself while everyone else goes about their sorry excuses for lives. While he doesn't seem to mind interacting with whomever would go out of their way to speak to him, he [i]refuses[/i] to involve himself in other people's messes. Worrying about his own future is stressful enough on him as it is, without all that extra bullshit that may or may not go on around his vicinity.

While his emotions maybe hard to read on the surface, deep down Roku is internally depressed, constantly wallowing in his own despair. He's a self-loathing cynic with a negative outlook on life as a whole, and his pessimism knows no bounds. As far as he's concerned, all of his classmates are little more than parasites that continue to eat away at his time and his life. Thankfully, Roku doesn't have such a deranged mentality that he'd fantasize about murdering everyone, and in practice, he's actually quite hard to provoke. Due to his cynical nature, however, he can hold a grudge on someone for even the smallest of things, and he'll almost never let it go.[/indent][color=aa0005][sub][b]Home Life:[/b][/sub][/color][indent]Roku lives with 19-year-old brother, Gushiken Yutaka, who has been his legal guardian ever since their parent's deaths. Their mother was murdered by a jealous ex-lover of their father's, and their father was killed in a riot that he was trying to help qualm. Yutaka is one of only a few precious people that Roku isn't a complete asshole towards. Even then, however, there's an evident love/hate relationship that Roku has with Yukata. Roku gets by thanks entirely to the inheritance that Mrs. Gushiken had left him and Yukata in her will which, even when split between the two of them, is more than enough to support his wants and needs.[/indent][color=aa0005][sub][b]Motivation:[/b][/sub][/color][indent]All Roku really wants in life is to get through the days without any hassle. Social Class is most notably the first thing that comes to mind with this one. The GM Staff aren't really all that privy to accepting any more characters in the wealthy denomination. We already have Nanako and Ichika to fit this mold and I don't think having more characters of great wealth in their background would be beneficial. In Japanese Anime we tend to see characters like this as a genuine surprise (K-ON! comes to mind). Similarly we already have a great deal of male characters who are introverted, have deceased parents, and we really want to try to get some more optimistic and cheerful characters in to make a reasonable dynamic. Just because Kurosuoba is a boring city doesn't mean it is exactly depressing or soul-crushing.

There are also regulations in Japanese schools about piercings and other demeanor. So that's a thing, too.

I also think [i]thematically[/i] there are issues with the character, so at the end of the day I'll probably have to reject this character application unfortunately.
