[indent][color=fff200]Reese had a rather boring life coming out of high school. Still not deciding what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, he worked at a rundown convenience store. Working day by day and night by night got him stuck in a rut. Days turned into weeks and so on and so forth until he was there a whole year. Life was passing him by and he had no idea what he was going to do.

One late night walking home Reese took his normal shortcut through the park towards his house. The park was dead silent and only the faint sound of crickets and other random animals could be heard. Then a flashing light blue light zipped through the night sky like a meteor, coming right towards the park Reese was in! Startled and thinking on pure instinct, Reese took cover behind a nearby tree. As soon as he did a loud crash could be heard echoing throughout the park. Peeking around his tree, a crater the size of a car could be seen flashing the same light blue light it was when it was zipping through the sky. Running up towards the crater, Reese looked into it to see a black and red helmet with the same blue light flashing from the eye holes. Reaching down and grabbing the helmet sent a shock through his arm, but it was odd. The shock actually felt good. Hearing police sirens in the background Reese quickly grabbed the helmet and sprinted off full speed to his house.

When Reese arrived home he ran right into his room. His mom was asleep on the couch in the living room. She would always try and stay awake to see her son come home, but would always fall asleep before she could. Throwing the helmet on his bed he paced the room back and forth. [i]"What could this be?" "Where did it come from?" "How?"[/i] Questions after questions filled his brain as he paced. Finally the question above all appeared in his head. [i]"Should I put it on?"[/i] Sitting down next to the helmet Reese pondered for a good hour before grabbing the helmet, sending that tingling feeling down his body again. Taking a deep breath he threw the helmet on his head, instantly his whole body shot up with adrenaline and power. Reese was absolutely blown away, soaking it all in. Until a sudden pain hit his head. Hard. Giving out a soft yell he tried to force the helmet off but it wouldn't pull off. Laying back on his bed he tried his hardest but to no avail. The pain growing and growing until it was unbearable. After a minute it completely stopped, the helmet gave way and it was pulled off his head. Instantly the eyes lit up again a light blue, this time the light projected out sending out an hologram of a large burly man wearing the same helmet.

The hologram was choppy and cutting in and out but the message was clear. Throughout the entirety of the hologram the man went on to explain what the Nova corps was, and that the pain he felt when he put the helmet on was knowledge of the Nova corps and Nova force being processed into his brain, also rewiring the helmet to fit his DNA so only Reese could wear it and use its powers. The Nova Corps had been completely eviscerated by an unknown enemy. With the end in sight, High-Ranking Nova corps members used telekinetic abilities and sent out helmets to track down worthy candidates to carry on the legacy of the Nova corps. Reese had been chosen out of the whole universe, putting the helmet down and focusing on what he should do next, he took up the responsibility of being a Nova and finally figured out what he wanted to do with his life.
