Friday - Missions
The days at Beacon Academy ticked down to Friday once more, indicating yet another time to carry out missions. Friday arrived rather quickly for some, or slowly to others. After preparations made by respective students and their leaders, everyone headed over to the Mission Control room to check up on their missions. The Board of Missions went crowded from one moment to being empty in the other as students left Beacon Academy, most of them through airships and the like to their destinations. It was going to be a busy day, no matter how busy it may be. In addition to threatening Dust markets across Remnant and leaving many Huntsmen and Huntresses in a bind for the substance, it appears that now regular citizens are under threat from this outbreak of crime as well. In order to fill the void left by Vale’s stolen Dust supplies, a synthetic Dust substance, known colloquially among the underworld as Faerie Dust, has been hitting the streets of the city of Vale. Sharing many of the elemental capabilities of naturally-mined Dust along with other unknown qualities to replicate the effects of “true” Dust, Faerie Dust is a potent and capable substitute for certain weapons and Semblances, but any potential it has has been overshadowed and abused by its side effects - chief among which are its chemical similarities to many current street drugs, leading to a rash of addictions and overdose deaths from the substance throughout the city of Vale. We believe we have located the cornerstone of the Faerie Dust production and distribution ring in the city’s warehouse district, near the docks. Clean up the streets. Reinforcements: A tip from a Mistralian transfer student was what alerted faculty to the presence of this operation. As such, the team she leads, VIVE, will be accompanying you on this mission. Briefing: In order to reaffirm the importance of settlements outside the four Kingdoms, Council officials here in Vale have chosen to fund a musical concert tour of the closest towns and villages. Due to certain, unforeseen issues, the tour is seeking more manpower to serve as security during the set-up and weekend performances taking place in a town to the far south of Vale. Your duty is to provide that security, and hopefully the concert passes without issue. Reinforcements: Two of the idols happen to have training from the Kingdom of Atlas’ Bastion Academy. In addition, one has a sister with her own security bona fides, and the idols’ manager is the younger sister of famed Vytal finalist Brennan Griese. Though their assistance would disrupt the concert and reflect poorly on your report, their help is available if required. Briefing: Due to possible issues that may have arisen at the International Center for the Extermination of Creatures Antagonistic to Mankind as of late, the Atlesian government has chosen to send an inspector to their facility in south-eastern Sanus in order to ensure that none of the research and developments being undertaken by the resident workers have overstepped bounds or proved to be threatening to humanity as a whole. In the spirit of international cooperation and furthering educational awareness of every effort employed against the Grimm, a team of trainee Hunters from Beacon have been requested to accompany the Inspector during their tour and protect them against any attacks by Grimm in the hostile territory where the facility is located. A cargo ship will be leaving for the island of patch. You have been requested for this mission due to your prior achievements, let us hope our trust is not misplaced. Normally we would use transport aircraft to deliver the dust, however the airspace around Patch has been invaded by aerial Grimm recently. Vale’s forces and hunters are stretched thin protecting the ground routes on the main continent and achieving necessary air superiority simply isn’t within their powers at the moment. A ship can be more heavily armed to deal with the threat. Be prepared for anything - there are no reports of any large aquatic grimm and we will be armed with depth charges, however a lone creature or a small school would have been undetected by surveys, so refresh your memory on those. Reinforcements: Vale’s AF has air superiority to about one third of the way. In the middle of the transfer we will be too far out of all other forces - it will be up to you. On the last third of the journey the Patch’s hunters can help us out, however keep in mind that they are dust starved and tired after fighting off a large sum of aerial grimm recently. Call them in only if the situation is dire.

VGGB
[@Crimmy][@Slime][@Silvan Haven]
Mission: Civil War Difficulty Rank: A+ to S Overseer: Huntsman Andrew Felicia will meet with the team on-site and discuss the situation. Reward: 5-6 credits, plus 1 million lien if the rebellion is successfully crushed. Briefing: The Mistral town of Gallia is in a state of chaos. There is a revolution going on in this normally quiet and insignificant town. A rebellious group of fighters have taken arms against the local authorities, the situation has grown beyond what Gallia police can handle. Mayor Gideon Blue has personally requested a team of huntsmen and huntresses to capture the leaders of the rebellion and restore peace to Gallia. It is worth noting that the Mayor is quite wealthy and will reward those who bring them down handsomely. Huntsman Andrew Felicia has volunteered to assist whoever is assigned to this mission, as his own village is only a day’s walk from Gallia. Reinforcements: Andrew Felicia is a phone call away if shit goes south. It appears this location is a large abandoned facility with an unidentified Atlesian structure, and there are no signs of Grimm present here. You are to investigate its presence, as well as identify the source of the signals. There are signs of a single lifeform moving in the facility on its own. All students are highly advised to work together, as it may be a threat that does not classify as a Grimm. Additional Briefing: Atlas has confirmed that they do not recognize the structure. Reinforcements: One verified reinforcement will be following the team. Briefing: Some… Relatively critical files have been stolen from the Beacon database. The encryption and copy protection should hold for a while, but until they’re retrieved they’re a liability. They’ve been tracked to a storage facility on the outskirts of town. Your job is to accompany Rowan while she attempts to recover the files, providing combat support as necessary. Not being detected is key--while stealth in the sneaky sense is not necessarily required, taking out guards before they can trigger alarms and destroy or transmit the files is. Reinforcements: You’ll be accompanied by Rowan, but expect no other backup.
