Do you hear it? The sounds of the metal-men. The rumbling of their steel contraptions and the hissing of pipes, the buzzing of electricity traveling across vast networks of thin wires. The Metal Age has come, and none can escape its grasp. They are already chipping away at the stone foundations of the past and replacing them with iron-plated monstrosities that cover whole villages and even cities. The green fields of yesterday now flattened by smog-bloated factories, with red-eyed faux-humanoids watching their new slaves toil away.

So, will you lie down and obey, and hope to gain a few privileges along the way? Or will you go against the unstoppable and fight, content with death over servitude? Perhaps you will master their contraptions, know more about these invaders than they know themselves, and turn it all against them. That is up to you.

1. There aren't really any major stipulations for this prompt, the only one being that obviously the "metal age", whatever it might be for your entry, should be the main focus. With that said, please set your entries to be during or after the arrival of the "metal age"

2. Please title your entries!

3. The metal age is a force to be reckoned with. Show the struggles between them and your characters! No win buttons please.
