Penelope nodded and grabbed the bags to head out. She followed Crow out of the stable and back into the forest. Once they didn’t have to worry about being caught, her gaze drifted up to the sky, scanning over the clouds for signs of the same foul weather they had before. The knight relaxed as she noticed it just appeared to be cloudy out. She hoped that meant she didn’t have to worry about another storm. Her attention shifted over to Crow as he spoke. She rolled her eyes at his challenging grin. “I guess so.” She said with a shrug. The knight smirked. “But don’t feel bad when you find out it’s me.” Her words were more playful than actual confidence. In truth, she was rather curious to how skilled the thief was. She had missed his fight with William and hadn’t really seen him use the dagger very much so she had to wonder if she’d possibly end up learning a trick or two from him. Daggers were never her first choice. Her skill heavily lied with swordsmanship but she was still plenty capable with a dagger, as she had proven in the several fights they had gotten into over the few days. Her gaze flickered ahead to where the castle lied in the distance. “Let’s get a little farther before we train though.” She said, wanting to make up some of the time they had lost from the day before. Though she wasn’t particularly eager to reach the castle, she was worried that if they took to long, any effort they made would be for nothing as she wasn’t sure how long the king would wait for their return. “How’d you even learn how to fight?” She asked curiously. She figured he had to have had some type of practice with a sword and dagger before based on what she had seen and how he would have beat William if the older knight had only accepted defeat.
