"I can detect most of the dangers and traps to the portal." Adrianne responded to the Guardsman inquery.
"It is relatively easy still, even out here. But the closer we get to the actual gate, the less reliable my foresight will be. This space is steeped in demonic activity and corruption."

It crossed Adrianne's mind that the way she described their situation might have been an understatement; particularly given the fact she could see the shadowy outline of a six-legged creature prowling in the corner behind Ansgar, its shadowy and still incorporeal head fixed on the back of the krieger as it watched him from the other side of the veil.

Granted, when the idea was put forth that they could use the Orks as a proverbial battering ram against the fortified heretical forces around the gate, Adrianne suddenly felt a lot more optimistic; enough to turn away from glaring at the psychic spirits around them and towards the rest of the group!

While she felt confident they could handle a group of cultists, or even a band of lesser daemons; she did not so much trust their odds if the heretics had more corrupted astartes guarding the portal. A point wherein the Orks could be a wonderful equaliser!

"Ohhhhh, are you thinking of bringing a three-way? I'm into that... "

"Shut it... " Adrianne mumbled as she walked forward, before speaking.

"These tunnels feature many blast doors that close of different cordons and sections. If we could find a control room or some kind for the transport system in these tunnels, we could funnel the Orks right towards the heretics. The chaos forces around this area will likely congregate around the gate, which means if we can simply get the green brutes into contact with the heretics, they will likely find their own way from there."

Adrianne paused however when she saw the new arrival, Elisha.

The 7ft Psyker would turn to look at the man from behind her skeletal helmet, cocking her head curiously to the side as her long, white ponytail swished behind her cloak.

"I didn't expect to find an agri-worlder around here... !"

She commented with a quizzical tone.

Indeed, Elisha stood out like a sore thumb on the Forgeworld! Mainly helped by his egregious lack of cybernetic implants, too-healthy skin, and the fact he had not already broken into a tirade towards Vala about the at-least 17th different ways the tech-heretic offended the Omnissiah by her very existence!

"Welcome to the group, Marshal Renai, I hope you enjoy your time with us."

The Apothecary was either oblivious or just ignored the awe that Elisha seemed to hold him in - having seen entire battalions of Guardsmen kneel before him before - one man's hero-worship affected the Chogorian very little anymore.

After lowering his weapon the Astartes simply listened to the Celestian and gave a slight incline of his head as acknowledgement, taking up a position behind the more fragile pair of mortals as they made their way back to the others.

It did not, and had not, escaped the Marines notice that Adrianne - their resident psyker, and therefore potential warp gatway - had been talking to herself (or someone else) for quite some time now...he would have to keep an eye on her.

"The Greenskins will fight anyone," agreed the White Wolf, "if we could bring the two into contact with one another, it could give our smaller group an edge; mix in the grenades, and truly it will be a great slaughter."

Elisha gave small nod. "I knew I recognized your armor. Just couldn't place. Sorry about that. And yes that is my name." Elisha hand pulled out another Iho stick and lit it. "Ya know I never thought I'd be working for an Inquisitor. As for my target I do not believe he has died here. He is too crafty." Grabbing his gear that he had placed next to the barricade, Elisha threw it onto his back. "It is a pleasure to work with you to Milord"

Pausing for a moment, he turned toward the Sister of Battle, seriousness in his voice. "I will follow your orders. Though if I find what I am hunting I will take chase. If you have a scout you can place me with them." Following the Sister of Battle towards her squad. Elisha made note that his new 'squad' was a ragtag group of warriors. 'So what do we have here. A Space Marine, a Guardsman, an Arbites. Heh looks like armor doesn't change that much. Some tech priest an their warriors, and two other women. Can't tell what organization they are from though.' Deciding that paying attention to the plan would be a better decision than daydreaming, since this fight was now his fight. Though since he had just arrived he figured it wasn't his place to give a opinion on the mission. Taking a drag from his iho stick, Elisha raised his hand in a small wave when the Celestian Superior introduced him.

"I didn't expect to find an agri-worlder around here... !"

Turning his attention to the very tall women. " Mostly correct there. Only a few places are used for agri. Rest is still uncolonized. Planet doesn't really like us. Too many beasts. That's why my order exists." Elisha gave a small shrug. Taking a short drag of his iho stick. "Anyway how could you tell?"

Ansgar was silent as the Celestian and Apothecary returned with another man, who appeared to be another sort of mercenary or free lancer. At a glance, the Krieger could identify several models of slug throwers, implying coming from a lower tech world than a standard Imperial planet. While auto weapons were easier to create, las weapons remained superior in the Krieger's opinion, but that was neither here nor there. If the Celestian was bringing this newcomer into the group, he had to have some useful abilities or talents. Though, when the man mentioned taking off if his prey was spotted, the Krieger narrowed his eyes. Leaving without authorization was desertion, which warranted being shot, simple as that, and made such perfectly clear. "Departing without approval of a superior is desertion, a crime which is punishable by immediate summary execution."

The remark would likely bring the rumors that, in some extreme cases, the Death Korp had executed its own Commissars for lacking the spine to stand their ground and lead the charge to the forefront of those familiar with the regiments. Whether that was true or not, well, only Ansgar could say for certain either way, and the odds of him actually confirming or denying such allegations was unlikely, at best. Beyond that, the Krieger kept his silence while the others spoke and discussed the plan and potential of bringing the Orks into the conflict. He couldn't speak to their nature outside of his limited exposure to them during this current conflict, so he left such deliberation and debate to those who had fought Orks on more than one occasion. When the discussion as to whether or not to simply attempt to warp the bomb into place or make a proper assault, Ansgar spoke up.

"I recommend assaulting through the enemy lines while they are occupied with the Orks, not wait to mop up. It is unlikely the Orks will succeed, as the gate can likely funnel reinforcements right into the fight, even if they aren't immediately Traitor Marines. Our best chance is to strike while the fighting is at its fiercest, punch through, plant the explosives, and detonate them to remove the Gate from the field. Mop up operations can commence from there." Using the chaos of an Ork assault to blindside the traitor forces was an application of a fairly standard procedure. A false assault would draw attention and manpower from the path of a team that needed to punch through an enemy position to complete and objective before withdrawing. The team in question never waited for the fighting to start dying down, as that meant forces would be more readily available to respond to the attack actually meant to succeed.

Of all things to happen to Vala, teh techpriests speaking to her in binary with a weirdly comforting sounding way made her cringe. Maybe it wasn't really in the idea to be comforting or nice, but it came off that way and it just made the merc let out a loud sigh as she stopped working on THE bomb for a little while. She wished she had a nuke... yeah tactical nuclear device would have done wonders. She once got to see one form up close. A real honest to the emperor nuclear bomb... She so regretted not having the cash to get it back then, but then again it came with being a merc... "01001001 00100000 01101011 01101110 01101111 01110111" She finally replied with another sigh." I read and comprehend binary well enough, speaking is hard because human vocal cords aren't made for it." She stated with a shrug as she was doing some final connecting of pieces on her little tech heresy on which she was working with a visible glee.

She barely registered a new arrival, well at least didn't register him until she was ready with the bomb. She started laughing with a wide grin." Done well done enough." She stated as the only missing component was the triggering mechanism." Once this thing goes off, anything close to it will be vaporised... Normal explosions to spread out the plasma even further, anything that's within the blast radius is toast, doesn't matter if it's a warp portal!" She stated rather proudly, as she looked at the trigger device in her hand which at this point consisted really of a weird mix between time delayed switch and remote controlled trigger." Once I insert the trigger we can set the detonation time, but I simply cannot ensure too long of a detonator range. Underground isn't exactly easy for any wireless devices to get connection." She stated, looking at the others.
