[@Karkinos]: I didn't exactly mean to be condescending or anything like that, but I did state most youkai have a humanoid form(and indeed, for youkai who were born as youkai, that's their default form) for a reason. It makes character interactions easier to maintain and it's been a consistent lore detail for the setting for as long as it's existed in any kind of coherent form(something I admittedly didn't make very clear). Giving her the ability to take a human form fills that in, but I will clarify that animal-based youkai can [i]always[/i] take a more human form in this setting if shapeshifting is one of their capabilities. "Most youkai" was intended to preserve the more monstrous types as enemies.
