I will point out that most of the bodies are on the back of horses running wild. Most of them seem to be turning back towards the camp. You will be able to recover your machete and javelin from the one non-riding body without giving chase, as well as traditional leather armour and one set of dragonclaw's robes. No money on the body, strangely enough.
