About 5,750 years ago the crystal gems gave their lives to protect Earth from the terraforming terror known as Homeworld. Thanks to their valiant acts, the planet was left to live in relative peace though the shadows of their great war still exist in the world today. Corrupted gems, once sentient now reduced to beasts, they live throughout the land mostly sticking to themselves but occasionally living with others. These gems have also been known to come into contact with the local fauna which usually results in harm to the locals. The beast are a great issue to the residents of Earth with seemingly no force to keep them in check. That’s about to be rectified. Not all gems were corrupted after the war, some wander the Earth, unsure of why they’re still around or maybe they’re a younger gem having not popped out of one of the kindergartens until after the war. No matter who they are, a few weeks ago every gem on Earth not corrupted received a message in their mind, inviting the Crystal Gems to regroup at some ancient gem ruins long thought to be abandoned…
