Character You're Applying For: The Karate Kid

Powers And Abilities:

Master Martial Artist: Jim is a master of almost every known earth martial art and has even mastered a few alien fighting styles such as the kryptonian martial arts Torquasm-Vo and Torquasm Rao. His favored styles are a mix of Boxing, Karate, taekwondo and Torquasm-Vo. Jim is skilled enough to take on some the toughest fighters and he uses his knowledge and intelligence as a fighter to take on opponents who have powerful metahuman abilities.

Weakness Detection: Jim has the mental ability to find the weak point in a person or object. 

Tools and Weapons: He has gloves and shoes that can become adhesive for scaling up walls and ceilings. For information he has a high tech smartwatch equipped with a super computer. His costume is made of a tough fabric that can lessen the kinetic energy from the impact of attacks made against him, it also is fire proof and electric proof. For weapons he has throwing knives and duel combat knives for when he has to fight close up. Finally Jim also wields a retractable combat staff made of Nth Metal.

Origin And Backstory (In A Maximum Of Four Paragraphs): Jim Gannon was created in a test tube by the League of Assassins for the purpose of being an air to the Demon Head, their leader R'as Al Gul. While being grown into a child inside the tube, Jim was fed information about the world outside through the machine that made him. When he was at the physical age of a six year old Jim was released from his birthing pod and from there he was trained to become the world's greatest fighter and prepare him to ascend to successor of Ra's al Ghul. 

When he was ten years old, the league sent him out on deadly missions where he destroyed enemies of The League of Assassins. At this point in his development, Jim was only tasked with the minor nuisances of the organization, but he completed his missions with little struggle. To his superiors, his growth as a league member was very impressive, but what they didn't know was that Jim despite not being born and raised like a normal human was having a moral dilemma inside him.

There was a part of him that didn't want to spend the rest of his life killing those that the league deemed necessary to kill. They had tried to sell him on the idea that every person they killed was the for the good of humanity and the world. That they were saviors of the planet and the restorers of order through chaos and death. But still, he had doubts about this being his destiny. By the time he hit fourteen, Jim had been given his suit and weapons made for him to distinguish himself from his peers.

It was when he was sixteen that he decided to leave the league. The reason was the mission given to him ordering the assassination of business man and his family. He agreed to go through with it, but when he saw the man with his family and the love they shared, memories of what the machine had taught him about humanity came back into his mind and it was then that he decided to flee from the league and cover his tracks. Thanks to also having some connections he was able to hack his equipment and prevent himself from being traced.

With a new look on life and a new identity, Jim took up the name Karate Kid for the purpose of fighting crime and the occasional mercenary work. By the time he was seventeen Jim had mastered a few more martial arts, which included some alien styles. He now is focusing on keeping an eye out for The League of Assassins.

What Makes This Character 'Ultimate'?: This Karate Kid has no ties to the legion of superheroes and is has his origins with the league of assassins. My idea for the character was to have him be a little more grounded and tied to a big villain in DC such as Ra's Al Ghul and the league of assassins.

Sample Post: Jim looked over the ledge of a building he was hiding out on. His intentions were for a mission given to him by an anonymous employer who wanted a competitor out of the way. This competitor was a drug dealer who wanted to get his clients addicted to the drugs and become dependent on his other goods. 

Jim's employer said that he found the man to be bad for business and too greedy, and so wanted something done about him. Jim agreed, he may not have known who exactly he was getting the job from, but it involved bringing pain to drug dealers and that was a good deed in his book.

After waiting for several minutes Jim spotted a large truck coming down the street and he knew that it was his target. Before arriving here, Jim had scoped out the shipment area and remembered seeing the truck there.
