With no Attunement, a character who bursts into flame is going to burn away anything he's wearing at the time. Higher ratings in Attunement allow the character to affect more, up to rating 5 where you can affect another person.

4 =  position of some direction and privilege along with access to large resources 
5 = upper ranks of your organization 
[color=seagreen]Cipher[/color] This is how well hidden you are when you want to be. With this background, you are a difficult person to track down. You leave no paper trail, there are no photographs taken. Investigators come up empty-handed.

2 = your data trails are hard to follow
3 = you project the identity you wish to project
4 = even you have trouble remembering your details
5 = all your secrets are hidden
[color=seagreen]Contacts[/color] For each point in this background you have 1 major contact you can go to for information. In addition, this background also represents a general pool of lesser contacts to who you can reach out.

2 = 2 majors in different areas and a smattering of minors
3 = 3 major and a respectable number of minor ones
4 = 4 major ones in different areas and large number of minor ones
5 = 5 major ones and minor contact almost anywhere you look
[color=seagreen]Dormancy[/color] Using this trait allows a Gamma to "dorm down", turning all his/her powers off. This makes them more difficult to detect (the rating is used to oppose detection).
[color=seagreen]Eufiber[/color] This represents how much of the rare Eufiber you have. Each rating will allow your eufiber costume to store one Quantum Point and act as one level of armor, even though it's only cloth-thin.
[hider=What is Eufiber?]
Eufiber, an organic polymer-esque substance was originally secreted from the epidermis of Costa Rican Gamma Anibál Buendia; a synthetic was later created from living colonies of the fibre.


This material has many uses, including OpNet cables and clothing. But living eufiber is greatly prized by Gamma as the materials' genetic and quantum pattern conforms to that of those wearing it. This means that the eufiber can store a limited amount of quantum energy giving it durability and a natural defence for itself and its wearer. Also, through this bonding eufiber clothing becomes immune to the gamma's powers, making it extremely useful for many . It is possible, with careful attuning, for a gamma to gain limited control of a eufiber colony, allowing them to manipulate it as if it was part of their own body, even altering its appearance at lvl 3 attunement perk[/hider]
[color=seagreen]Followers[/color] This represents normal humans who follow the PC for one reason or another each lvl represents the number at significant or more at lower levels
[color=seagreen]Influence[/color] This is the PC's pull and status in society. Levels of this background can make the character a famous (or infamous) movie star, media icon, or a politician.
1 = moderately influential / local celebrity 
2 = well-connected, you’re a familiar face in the city, state, or province
3 = influential in 1 or more subcultures and known to many others
4 = broad personal power your words carry weight throughout the nation
5 = global media icon 
[color=seagreen]Mentor[/color] You have a teacher or guide who can show you the ropes, make connections for you, and in general be anything from a "big brother" or "grand master sensei", depending on the rating you take.
