[indent]Much like some of his classmates, Søren’s power set manifests itself as psionic at its core. Though he is not a particularly powerful telepath (reading minds for him is very short distance; and is most powerful when physical contact is involved). His powers instead manifest themselves as follows:

[indent][color=35bcf2][b]Psionic Weapons:[/b][/color]
[indent]Søren is capable of accessing a versatile ‘armory’ of weapons that are capable of damaging a target physically and mentally alike. His psionic weapons manifest in a ‘blue’ shade, and can act as a makeshift lightsource in dark places. He most typically creates a short sword, but is capable of doing other weapons, and with more time will only be capable of more.[/indent]

[indent][indent][indent]He can use his psionic powers to enhance his speed and agility to beyond human levels. These spurts of power are typically very brief; though through training the period of time it lasts can be increased.[/indent][/indent][/indent]

[indent]Søren has a limited amount of telepathy, almost core to someone whose powers are psionic in nature. He considers himself lucky that it’s weak, and he doesn’t have to spend his days hearing [i]everyone’s[/i] thoughts all the time. Instead, he has to be close and concentrating to do so. This limitation can be circumvented through maintaining physical contact with the target.[/indent][/indent][/indent]

[indent][color=35bcf2][b][u]Weaknesses[/u][/b][/color]
[indent]Søren’s limitations revolve mostly around the amount of concentration he has to use to maintain the blade,  the length of time his enhanced conditioning can last, and the concentration required to read minds without physical contact. In actual combat, he will most commonly be in melee range, simply because he has the easiest time using his sword; at this point it nearly comes as second nature to him.

Additionally, at the hands of a more powerful or experienced psionic based mutant, the mental cut of his swords can be somewhat limited; he has trouble at this point piercing the mental defenses of someone more experienced that he is.

A notable ‘weakness’ is that he doesn’t really like his telepathy abilities, regardless of how weak they are. He considers the ability to read minds annoying at best, and perversely invasive at worst. It’s a complete lack of respect for another person’s privacy. Unfortunately, if he experiences prolonged physical contact, his powers will act of their own volition, and he reads minds anyway.

[indent][color=35bcf2][b][u]Prior to Joining the School[/u][/b][/color]
[indent]Søren was born at the turn of the century to an older, rich British businessman and his trophy wife, a Danish supermodel. From the beginning of his life, he was somewhat spoiled, and never really wanted for anything. He attended a boarding school throughout his first few years of school, with a favored hobby of his being fencing. At the age of nine, during a fencing competition, his powers activated as the rapier in his hands instead changed into the psionic short sword he often fights with now.

Following this, he is expelled from his boarding school. His father, a volatile man already, elects to send his eldest child away to Xavier’s School; noting that he doesn’t want to deal with ‘the stain on humanity.’ Incidentally, this would be the last time that Søren would speak to his father.[/indent][/indent]

[indent][color=35bcf2][b][u]Post Powers[/u][/b][/color]
[indent]Joining Xavier’s school as a particularly young student, Søren has spent most of his life learning how to utilize and control his powers. Over time, he has improved tremendously. He never did very well in regular schooling, and his Londoner accent all but disappeared through the years. At first, his mother sent him letters, and he went out of his way to talk to her. This too would go away with time, and it eventually translated to him receiving ‘allowance’ checks, and now, at age 19, the only thing he has to remember his parents by is a sizeable trust fund. Thanks, Dad.

After his second year at the school, he began working with Kitty Pryde, who would help him train using skills she’d picked up during her time in Japan. Naturally, he grew infatuated with her — and it never really faded. To this day, his (somewhat smaller now) crush on Kitty Pryde has been a problem in Søren’s actual relationship.

At age sixteen, he ‘met’ Ana Sofia. Of course he’d seen her around the school, they were the same age and it was only natural that they knew [i]of[/i] each other, but actually meeting one another was different. After a few weeks of hanging out, they were ‘official,’ and have been ever since.

He’s happy to have her, and he does her best to show her that, but even so… he’s somewhat iffy about commitment. This has been becoming a bigger, and bigger problem in their relationship, leaving Søren to many sleepless nights where he wonders if he’ll soon be without a Shield.

He [i]thought[/i] being a mutant would be cool, and full of adventure and fighting and helping people! But no. He’s just a normal teenager, with normal problems, like trying to figure out if he truly, sincerely [i]loves[/i] his girlfriend or not.
