Would attempts to force confessions through fear be acceptable? Not saying torture but implied threats of violence like dangling a thief from the ledge of a building. Basically he’d be more Batman than anti-hero in his approach, using fear to get convictions while avoiding murder.

If that’s still too out there and you want him to be even closer to the DC clean cut version of Superman than I’ll go with that.
