I used this map website to create an entire world: [url]https://topps.diku.dk/torbenm/maps.msp[/url]

Of course, I played around with the settings until I got a look that I liked, and I zoomed in on a landmass that looked appropriate for a new region. 

Then I saved that image. 

Next, I opened a google draw, and started layering on the locations, roads, and a few hand drawn things like rivers and lakes. And I used transparent shapes to cover certain areas to show snowy and desert regions. 

Voila!
