The RP has begun, and due to its nature as a free flowing, West Marches-style sandbox game, we're always looking for new people to join the adventure. Come by and join!
Hi, I’m interested in running a West Marches campaign I’ve developed based on this map I've made up. It is a map of a lightly settled northern hinterland, ripe for adventure. Assuming this gets off the ground, you will be playing newly minted adventurers fresh off the boat in the Old City of Teres. Your past is behind you—whether you came from the noble kingdoms of Adea, the desert trading hubs of Shayar, the far-eastern lands of Yvenlond, the dwarven Underkingdom, the elven realms, or elsewhere—and your future is entirely yours. This is intended to be an open world environment, where you can compose any party you want with your fellow players and go out in search of adventure. Maybe you’ll investigate goblin raids on the nearby farming hamlets, or travel further abroad to check out the merpeople of Lac Myr. Maybe you’ll venture as far as Icefloe Cross, and see if you can map those northernmost uncharted territories of the world, or catalogue its exotic creatures and people. All in all, I expect that some sort of persistent adventure will find its way into the story, but the big thing I want to make happen here is to put finding those adventures in the players’ hands. As the title suggests we’ll be playing Dungeons & Dragons 5E. This is my first time playing on these boards, and I think I’d like to limit us to the core rulebook for the sake of convenience. I’m open to expanding that up down the line if it comes to it, but let’s not put the cart before the horse, the horse being active interest in doing this. Let me know if you’d be interested in signing on to this adventure.
