That's a really weird way to describe what you're doing. First off, it seems as if you are preparing for the attack which was feinted, meaning a jab with the spear head, bu then you seamlessly parry the swing coming from the side BEFORE Karaulish even lets go of the spear with one of his hands. That's a little extreme, speed-wise, prediction-wise and also it seems you got it wrong. Karaulish let go of the spear with his left hand as he had issued the swing, meaning it was nowhere near connecting when he lowered his left arm. Also, I am still confused as to how he could see through the feint so easily. I'd like to imagine feints in roleplay lead to situations where a character either barely saves themselves from the actual attack, following the feint, or if the author of that character decides, get hit by the feint. I get that your character is really old and battle hardened to the point where he breathes fighting, but still.
