Julie. They didn't talk. However, Santiago did talk about her. Still, he wasn't playing butler and he felt he needed to prove that. So instead of saying anything, he shot down both glasses of tequila in quick succession. Without salt or lemon, those were training wheels. The alcohol hit him right in the guts before it raced upwards to his head. He shook a little with his head, trying to clear the sensation. At least the thoughts in the back of his mind were gone. Then he turned to Julie: "If it isn't 'the worst lay' of Kings." He was quoting the devil himself. But Jason said it more as a tease. "What brings you here?" he then said with a bright smile as he began the work on his cocktail. The shock of hearing that sentence again after all this time shook Julie to her core. Jason had not been at King’s more than a year but still Santiago had already spewed his atrocities. But Julie didn’t let anything show, she composed herself and pursed her lips “Oh he told you about us huh?” she spat out. She put down her cup and steadied herself on the table, she took a breath and continued “What else did ya boi tell you? Did he tell you how hard he tried to even get me to talk to him? Did he tell you how he talks to his grammy everyday? Did he tell you how he couldn’t even get it up at first, because of “all the shots”? Did he tell you that the one time we got together it was over in like 4 minutes? And still I am the worst lay?!” she finished almost out of breath. She hadn’t gotten to really vent to anybody about the situation accept for Chanel so now everything was just spilling out. Julie picked up her cup again and took a big gulp of wine to calm herself, staring at Jason. The moment she reacted, things went south. Jason meant to lightly tease her. What he got was pure venom. He tried to focus on his cocktail but with every passing jab against Santiago he got more and more distracted. He looked up a little more every time Julie said something. Of course, Santiago never told Jason any of these things. Some of the stuff could be explained. Like how hard he worked to get her to talk to him. That was just the hunt. Jason knew of the thrill. Obviously, Santiago had just poached her. But some of the rest was rather intriguing. Finally, she fell silent after her tirade that would’ve crushed a lesser man’s ego if he heard it, and deep down Jason kind of would’ve wanted Santiago to have heard her. That would’ve been an interesting test of his character. Alas, the Devil was nowhere around. “I’m sorry.” Jason said. “I shouldn’t have called you that. And no, Santiago never said any of the stuff. Maybe I don’t know him all that well.” He admitted. Which was half a lie. He knew parts of Santiago pretty good. What he didn't know was who disliked him and which way. “But then why does he call you the worst- I mean that?” She narrowed her eyes “No one really knows that dick brain, keep that in mind.” Julie said almost like a warning. But she was tired of warning people about him, so she shook her head and sighed, composing herself yet again. “No, I’m sorry. I shouldn't have screamed at you like that. I should not let that get to me, it was so long ago. It's just so annoying that he still goes around saying those things you know?” she took another sip.”I don't really know Jason, your guess is as good as mine. I think he might have had a problem with me loosing interest faster than he did…” she trailed of shrugging her shoulders. After all the gulping and sipping, Jason noticed her glass of wine was getting drained rather quickly. Probably because of the topic. He threw her a quick smile and said: “Let me get you something better than that.” He didn’t wait for any response as he quickly reached behind the bar, grabbed a glass, some strawberries and went to work on the cocktail. One for her this time. He poured the fiery red drink in a glass full of ice and served it to Julie. “Here, a peace offering.” He said with a quick wink. The making of the cocktail gave him a moment to think about what she said. There was no doubt in his mind now. This girl now truly hated El Diablo. Maybe more so because she now knows he introduces her as the ‘worst lay of Kings’. Which probably mattered more to nearly everyone at Kings than to Jason. But there was one thing he didn’t understand. “If you can’t stand the guy that much, and if he dislikes you enough to spread that rumor, then why are you here?” Normally Julie didn't accept drinks from anyone, but since she'd seen Jason make it she figured it would be fine, she smiled at him as he handed it to her. “Oh Jason… I might hate Santa. But it would be social suicide not to be here tonight.” “And besides, see that fly honey over there?” she turned and pointed at Chanel who was dancing in the crowd looking like she was having the time of her life, but she always did at parties. “She’s my truest friend and she really wanted to go so here I am.” She took a tentative taste of his concoction and to her surprise she really enjoyed it, it was fresh and fruity just as she liked it. “Hey this is really good! You do a lot of bartending in NYC?” she asked and took another drink from her glass. A small laugh formed on Jason as he looked down at the cocktail he made. It summoned up some very pleasant memories. "My girlfriend isn't such a fan of beer. So... back when she wasn't my girlfriend yet I was working my ass off behind the bat one of my house parties." Yes, it felt a little shameful to work so hard. Why though? Jason never really understood that feeling. In fact, he was glad he had worked so hard on his cocktails. Every single one he made had put a smile on Catherine’s face and he loved her smile. "In fact, the one you're drinking is her favorite." he followed up as he pointed at her fiery red drink. "So I'm glad you're liking it too." Before Jason could even ask Julie about her own life, he heard a rather terrible grunt coming from behind him. He turned around just in time to see Marisol deliver the horrible punch to some guy's nose. Jason stood there, shocked and wide-eyed. This was neutral ground! Why the hell did the crazy one hit someone!? "I'm sorry, I have to-" Jason said to Julie. He tried to find the right word but the truth was he didn't even know what he was going to do. Just that he'd do something. With that half-baked apology, he ran up to the dude and crouched over. "You okay?" "I'm- I'm fine. I just need a minute. God..." the big guy huffed and puffed. Jason could only imagine how much the big guy was hurting. Luckily some of his friends were quick on the scene and helped the big man up. Jason just gave them a nod of appreciation. This was his friend's party. Above all else, Santiago had declared it neutral. He turned to look towards Marisol who was now quickly taking off her clothes, away from everyone's attention. Of course, a damn loser had to start trouble again. But he wasn't about to let her go without consequences. He walked over towards the end of the pier, but before he could reach it Marisol already jumped into the water. "You have to be kidding me." For a moment he stood still in the middle of the pier. Should he pursue or just leave it? One glance back towards the big dude puffing as he took a seat convinced him. He rushed towards the end of the pier while he took off his shirt. Right before he jumped into the water he threw it on the same heap as Marisol's clothes.
