Personal Style: Lee is a working man, and he tends to dress like a working man. Thick jeans not prone to tearing and a flannel shirt do the trick whether he has to repair something or go out with a group of friends. He doesn't worry too much about his appearance outside of trying to stay clean and smelling half-decent. He owns a pair of coveralls for when things have to get down and dirty, as well as a handful of Tee shirts and dress shirts just to diversify his wardrobe somewhat. Tends to prefer blues and grays over much brighter or darker colors. He has a heart for charity and a soul full of empathy, often giving away his last few dollars in order to help someone in need. There's almost an electric desire to throw himself into other people's problems, offering anything and everything- even if it hurts himself in the process. He's a good friend and a better listener, often times willing to drop everything just to drop by and make sure the people he cares about are alright. However, he'd be damned if he let someone do the same for him. Lee waves off concerns others might have for him consistently, assuring everyone that he's okay even when it's quite visibly apparent that he is not. Whether his mind is fractured or his pockets empty, he'll outright refuse to let anyone else step in to help him; he believes that he can take care of himself and that he shouldn't let anyone worry. Usually he's a lighthearted man, offering jests and jokes at every turn. He doesn't take himself too seriously, and tries to keep the mood up whenever he can. Lee doesn't like to be the center of attention, making sure that everyone is having an equally good time as he is. He does his absolute best to include others in the fun, keeping a vigilante eye out for anyone who might feel uncomfortable or distant from the rest of the group. Lee uses humor to cope with his issues. Making other people laugh or feel good about themselves helps him choke down his own insecurities and worries, pushing his more fragile inner demons to the back of his mind. If he can focus on others, he can build up his self worth in how he's impacted their lives and helped them. He has serious issues with self image otherwise. He hates how he looks, how he struggles to stay happy when alone, and he hates how uninteresting and unimportant his life is. He feels like he's failed to live up to himself and his own expectations, and he's driven to make up for that by building others up in any way he can. Habits: When he's nervous Lee has a habit of giggling and fidgeting. He can still remember the confusion and sorrow written all over his parents' faces when he packed up his belongings in the car and drove off. It hurt to see them look at him that way; but it hurt even to know that when Renshu's name was said, they weren't thinking of him. When he first got the Springton he remembered rolling up to a diner without a dollar to his name, begging the guy behind the counter for the chance to clean some dishes for a meal. Lee refused to take it for free- that shame burning in his heart made all the worse by the prospect of taking such charity from a stranger. History: Born and raised in Ohio's most infamous city, the Lee family was too poor to support more than one child at a time. Renshu was their first and the only one they planned on having. He was an incredibly intelligent and driven boy. Even from a young age he was pursuing more things than anyone else in his age bracket in school, pushing and pushing because he wanted to be someone great. He had a dream of pursuing a career in U.S politics, but even with above average grades, Renshu's family would never be able to afford to send him to a quality school. With that in mind, he turned his attention toward the only place he knew of that could offer him the money he needed: the military. It wasn't the life he wanted, but he was sure that it was the only way to get there. He shipped off to officer's school in the Air Force, where he assured his parents he would be safe. He never came home. It wasn't a bullet in Afghanistan that killed him; it wasn't even the job. Renshu was the victim of a fatal muggings while he was on leave overseas, his lifeless body found in the streets by his peers several days later. Renshu Lee II was born several years later, given the name of his fallen brother because his parents believed that the first Renshu had never gotten to live his full life. It was a means of coping that quickly soured. Lee wasn't anything like his brother, even if that's what his parents expected him to be. He was sociable and friendly, but lazy and none too worried about the future. His grades suffered because he lacked motivation, and that drew his family's ire. Their expectations were forced on him as they tried their best to point Lee in the 'right direction.' It backfired. He became angry and disillusioned with their dreams for him. As soon as he was old enough he took what little money and belongings he had and left. He couldn't go very far, ending up in a tiny town not far from Cleveland called Springton. The people there were friendly and accommodating, which Lee appreciated; but he was adamant about earning his place in their little community. He finished high school at nineteen and went on to begin work at a local mechanics shop. Jason Miller- an old friend from senior year- showed up at his door one day, asking to crash for a few days. That few days turned into a full year as the two became roommates and quick friends.
