A blue collar man working for a blue collar family, Toby was far from a creative. He built houses with his dad starting when he was 13. He was a large man, but always seemed to work so delicately with wood. By the time Toby was 22, he was running the day to day operations of his father's company, Walton Carpentry, in rural Ohio. Things took a turn when Toby's father died suddenly on the job in his early 50s around the same time. Walton Carpentry ended up falling apart, and a frightened Toby went to college to attempt to pick up proper skills. He went to OSU, going for a Business Management degree, before falling into collegiate theater. He ended up graduating with two bachelors degrees: Business Management and Theatre. By the time of graduation, Toby had helped with around 20 theatrical productions, from local theater to a professional internship between his Junior and Senior year working with the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago. Toby's life took a rather interesting turn during his senior year. At the age of 27, he had fallen in love with an actress from the UK who had come to OSU to study Arts Administration. He ended up following her back to London, getting a Visa and Passport for the first time in his life. Rather quickly after moving to London with her, he ended up working with the RSC as a Properties Master. He ended up rising to the rank of set designer for a production of Macbeth, but his controversial set design and sudden breakup with his fiance (after discovering she was cheating on him) led Toby to return to the U.S. Toby worked on a small, independent horror film that released in late 2017, early 2018 (clearly an attempt at Oscar Bait). This film, Unseen (2017), was commended in part due to its time specific attention to detail. This was Toby's first, and so far only, credit as a Props Master for a feature film.

[sub]A R E A S O F E X P E R T I S E[/sub]

Carpentry
Props Design
Budgeting
Set Construction
Business/Crew Management
Weapons Mastery
Minor Special Effects (Stage Firearms)

[sub]W O R K E X P E R I E N C E[/sub]

Officially, 8 years of Carpentry and House Construction Experience. I remember watching television shows and thinking "I could build that" as a young man, when I was building houses. I got into the world of Theatre, but it never was quite for me. It was never challenging enough. The shows I worked on, even for the Royal Shakespeare Company, were too small of a scale. I want to make something that everyone will see and that people can lose themselves in. I'm not a prestige Properties Master here in Hollywood, but I've been working with Props for the last decade. I've had to make special effects work on stage seem real and practical. You're going to need someone with my background to help your bottom line. The more we can do practically, the less money to add it in post.

[@Fabricant451] Fav Movie: Baby Driver
