Actually on second thought. I think might keep this character in reserve, I don’t know if I can handle 3 characters at once. It has the ability to ignite it’s blade and any person who comes in contact with gets hit with a flame curse which would continue burning the target until the curse is purified. It also has the ability to bestow sword skills when wielded and telepathy to communicate with it’s user. It may have more abilities, but they are unknown to both the weapon and the current user. The Book of Many Things: An unfinished encyclopedia, seems to never run out of pages. Eternal Language Comprehension: His Innate talent to understand and read any language in the world. How a normal human would view this character: A regular albeit, bookish adventurer, with a powerful magic sword and a great knowledge of the world. Bio/Lore: Ever since he was young Steinar was great interested in the past, it was in his blood. His father had been a legendary adventurer and scholar who uncovered many secrets lost to time, recording it into the Book of Many Things using his talent, Eternal Language Comprehension. It was his dream to create a book containing all knowledge and had a passion for gaining knowledge, something he shared with his son, who had inherited his talent. His father had promised that he’d take him on an adventure, a promise he would never keep. He had thought his father was invincible, but reality proven him incorrect. A powerful monster had slain his father, his comrades could only recover his life’s work the Book of Many Things, after this event he vowed to become and adventurer and finish it, but when he did, he found out that life was unfair. While he inherited his father’s talent he didn’t inherit any of his fighting prowess, he could use magic, nor did he have any talent with the blade. His peers would quickly outclass him, his dreams seem further and further away. He would shift from party to party, always ending up falling behind. Though 2 months ago he found himself in a predicament, he was being chased by a group of skeletons, abandoned by his party and used as a decoy to for them to get away. He ran and ran with all his strength, but the undead would still be at his heels no matter what he tried, only succeed in getting himself deeper and deeper into the catacombs they had tried to raid. He ended up being trapped in a wide circular room, luckily the door that lead into the room where heavy enough to by him some time. He looked around the room hoping that there would be another way out, instead he found himself finding an altar, with the blade that would be known as Durandal resting upon, an inscription had been carved into the rectangular altar, they parts of the inscriptions had been damaged leaving holes in the writing as such he could only make out the sentence, “Make an oath to the blade, spill your blood and gain power.” With nothing to lose, he did as it said. The consciousness within the blade known that would be as Durandal, didn’t know who made it and for what purpose, it knew that it had something to fulfill, but couldn’t recall it. It knew it was in the catacombs for a long time, but didn’t know how long or put it there. It just knew that Steinar was it’s new wielder, who gave it the name Durandal. Steinar using the blade managed to fight his way out, the flame curse being especially effective against the undead, he made his way back to civilization, reporting the event. The party that abandoned him was black listed from the guild, though he had left out one detail, he didn’t tell him about Durandal. For, so long he faced a wall that stopped him from achieving his dream and with Durandal he could overcome it. Connection to :
