The near instant paralysis from his apprentice was all the answer that James needed as to how much thought Cody had given it before talking to him about the matter. So caught up was James in determining if they were still going in the right direction that he was entirely caught off guard when Cody asked him what to do. I spent most of my life training to become a knight before my magic surfaced, and then that time was spent learning to control it and wield it. By now the pair had progressed a good ways into what he hoped was the right direction when he held up a hand for Cody to stop, the same hand reaching for his sword hilt immediately after. The faint sound of rustling, after so long with only the two of them, put him on edge. He moved forwards carefully when he heard the sound of a suddenly cut off protest, which resulted in his sword coming free of it's sheath and his shield sliding onto his arm, the blade rested on the top, sword point towards where the sound had come from. [color=SteelBlue]"Come out of hiding or I'm coming in after you. And I promise that's a fight you'll lose."[/color]
